Simon's style is so much better suited for the Blackmore material than Steve's was. Steve tried to add his own flair to things too much. I loved Steve's original compositions tho!

Ritchie has been out of purple for 30 years, we all agree he was the leading force on purple back on the 70s and 80s but he was also destroying the band, if for Ritchie there wouldn't be deep purple anymore
