    Thank you for drawing my attention to the "Newspaper" recipe of Kevin Mullins. I like black and white photos and I will certainly try this out. Thanks again.

      Great recipe! I’ve been using it a lot! I often like having a B&W recipe selected so that you see it on the live view and EVF! Removes the distraction of colour a little

    Since I found Reggie's Portra I rarely even try new recipes. It's so versatile, looks good with pretty much any light conditions. The only change I did to his recipe was to remove the grain as I prefer to add it in post if needed.

    Congratulations on the new home. 👌 The question, "Can I use the recipe with camera X or Y?" is also the most frequently asked comment on my recipe videos. I always think to myself, just give it a try. 😅 Tim Scott's recipe is my favorite among the five.

    I have modified reggie's portra : classic chrome into pro neg hi and it add a lot to both the green and the skin tone too my eyes. Try to change the film simulation of a film recipes it definitely can surprise you with the result

    Another excellent video!
    I particularly like Reala & Pacific Blue; I've noted your preference for "warmth", while I probably like a "cooler" balance.
    Having said that, partially by mistake I used "classic neg" , the other day, and found that several images when "over exposed" gave a creditable "real" (well to my mind anyway!) look!
    I've since experimented with a number of my favourite "syms" and like you, found quite dramatic changes to overall appearance, when either significantly under or over (+/- 2 stops), exposed.
    It's now led me to believe, as in film photography for which I've had many years experience, the colour tone of the photograph can be more significantly changed by exposure, than by changes in film "syms" alone!

    • @Goughie
      @Goughie  8 месяцев назад

      Im pretty sure fujifilm has done what you're describing and added some mapping to the colours as exposure is increased! thank you for watching!

    Another good video, Goughie. The black and white recipe I like a lot and will try, it out, although it is very similar to 2 or 3 others that I have. For the 3 colour comparisons, I prefer a different one for each set. In order: Forgotten Negative, Reala Ace and Portra Reggie B. This difference is what a encounter all the time. I like many recipes as portrayed on Fuji Weekly and on many other websites but am often disappointed when I try them out.

    Hello Goughie, congrats for your new home! Another good video, great work as always. I always have the Reggie and your personal recipe set on my two Fuji cams, and I'm definitely going to give the Reala Ace a go in the near future. In the samples you displayed, the colours seemed to be more 'natural', as though the tones were sticking more to the reality, dunno if that makes sense. Cheers and good luck to you and Claire for finishing the 'moving in' process 😊

      Fujifilm X Raw studio, it’s really good for playing with recipes and uses your camera convert raws into the JPEGs so you can still get straight out of camera JPEGs
