  • Quick video of how easy of an install this modification is on a Dirtbike. Something like this is easily the best thing I could get to prevent my ankle from getting worse. No I’m not sponsored by the company but I believe they work and I’ll be the first one to tell you if they do or don’t. Also this is my first time on a Dirtbike in months since my surgery. I’m excited but I was also humbled quickly as to how much further I have to go. Be safe ride hard. And I’ll see you guys out there!

You are a beast….back on your bike and ripping it also. Your Pilon fracture is healing up fast and you are moving around pretty good. I know you had a big smile ear to ear being back on two wheels again. I hope I get my chance soon but my 500 is going to be fun to kick over lol. I will be putting on a set of those ankle savers on my old CR for sure this summer. Thanks and never stop being you. 💪💪💪

Footpeg install sucks, especially on KTMs

  • @dannykyle738

I could very well be wrong on this, but wouldn't these pegs increase your chance of breaking an ankle?
The ankle is supposed to flex durring riding, and that peg certainly limits range of motion. You have some range, but as soon as you use that up, you may as well have welded your heel to the peg, potentially a worse injury than before. I blame the boot 100%. I used cheap $200 and below boots for a long time. Buy a pair of tech 10s, you would be suprised the abuse they can take. Mine have already saved my feet at least twice and taken plently over hard hits, where my old boots would have failed. They also have ankle savers built into them to prevent over extension, eliminating the need for the ankle saver.

I can see your argument for sure. The way I understand it is this. The saver provides room for the ankle to move freely as much as would be safe. If that makes sense. Therefore limiting the ankle from flexing too much. Also this would allow you to use all of the suspension. If you bottom out the suspension as well and the amount of flex your ankle is allowed with these then yes I assume your leg would break this is an extreme example Ofcourse

I guess similar to people arguing about knee braces some say they save you some say they make injuries worse 😂

Man I worry about those dragging in ruts. Is that a common problem with those?

I have heard that they drag in ruts a little bit but when I hit the track with em I will do a review of them

That guy is a beast….I cased on a jump back in May 14. Had surgery in June and three plates and 18 screws later with also my 4th physical therapy I’m able to walk but still have a lot of swelling around my ankle. It’s good to see him ripping on two wheels again. There is light at the end of the tunnel for us also. He is living proof. 💪💪✌️💪

Hell yeah I remember you my man! Good to hear your making progress with your healing. Truth be told man my ankle is stiff and still hurts as well, I’m not as healed up as I make it seem don’t worry 😂 but focus on that physical therapy bro and do some of your own at home do as much as you can. I’m not a doctor so I don’t want to give you medical advice. The way I healed wasn’t exactly the conventional way but your day is comin man. Head down heal up this winter get strong and crush it next season!
