Mr Railfan nicee, & right!, it was better when mta pronounced the train line instead of the route. they should have kept them. I’m not sure if they deleted it
Cool, kinda weird they added "via the Queens Blvd Local Line" though considering the F is already a Queens Blvd Line (made more sense adding it to the G since the G is no longer a Queens Blvd Line route unless they extend it back).
Bc the F goes on QBL express, but since it went local on QBL, which it Doesn’t usually do. They had to put that announcement in. Bc if it said “This is a Manhattan F local train” On QBL, then people would think the F IS local on QBL.
I always found it strange how 8th Avenue and Lexington Avenue both share Jessica’s Fulton Street announcement while Seventh Avenue and Nassau Street have their own announcements.
Or just say "This is a Brooklyn Bound F LOCAL train" and not "This is a Brooklyn Bound F local train via the Queens Blvd Local line" too much dwell time lol
Whenever you hear"via the (Insert Trunk Line Here) local line, it is likely a hold over from the original announcements. The old (N) program in Manhattan used to say "via the Broadway local like" when the train ran local in Manhattan.
It's funny, if the train would have taken the E line tracks from Queens Plaza to Court Sq as it claimed to be via the E line it would not be possible to go to 21 St next. It was already arriving on the G line platform at 21 St station.
It said via the E line because the G does NOT stop at Queens Plaza. If it said via the G line at Queens Plaza it would have confused passengers into thinking the G stops at Queens Plaza
@@2train297 That makes sense, on the other hand the train was going on the Queens Blvd Local Line since Forest Hills and and it seems that Court Sq. is also part of the Queens Bld. Local Line thus it could have said that one more time instead of the E line thing. It could have also said to be via M local and be fine. Do passengers even know what the Queens Bld. Local line is? On the map MTA uses the line numbers and letters so wouldn't "via the M local line" be better than "via the Queens Blvd. local line"? But what should I know, I'm 3700miles away :D
@@ChristianWindeckPJ plus, it said via queens blvd local because the F does not stop at queens plaza. If it went express it would go straight from Jackson heights to 21 street queensbridge
"Brooklyn bound F LCL via Queens Blvd LCL line" Okay, that sounds really weird & shouldn't belong there IMO, but I guess it's for the people who legit get confused about the system easily
Wait if i catch an (F) Train From like 71 Avenue and its programmed via Crosstown To CI, will it say Via the Queens Blvd Lcl line now? Cause i’ve been curious of how the announcements from Jamaica To Like Queens Plaza will play. Cause some F trains Via Crosstown To Ci are programmed Queens Blvd Exp So it’ll probably say Brooklyn Bound F Exp train..
Because it's in Kathleen Campion's voice and it would better match the (A) and (C) programs since they are also in Kathleen Campion's voice compared to the current Fulton Street announcement that is in Jessica Ettinger Gottesman's voice
@@TheRailLeaguer I already know what you will say, it doesn't matter as long as passengers understand what stop is being announced and most of the time they don't care about the voices
I have the G from 179 to Smith 9th Sts and Church that says the same thing all the way to 21 Street..... “via the Queens boulevard Local Line
I got that one too , I'm posting the one to Smith 9 st after the next video. Funny thing is it doesnt say it for the way back .
Mr Railfan nicee, & right!, it was better when mta pronounced the train line instead of the route. they should have kept them. I’m not sure if they deleted it
@@xpertt4kexclusiveness_mov669 did you hear the old q train to 96 street via 6 av announcements? It said "via the 6th Avenue express line"
Mr Railfan yeah, they updated tho I believe so, it says via the D, same goes for the Q to 72
Mr Railfan that one was better tbh, “via the D line”?.... it could just say “via the F express line” or just kept “via the 6 Avenue Express Line”

Interesting that Kathleen Campion's announcement for Fulton St isn't used on the A/C.
I didn’t know Kathleen did the 7 line announcements too
A/C used to say “Broadway Nassau”, and the F used to say “Fulton Street-Broadway Nassau”. Maybe it’s just only in the F train.
