The video is good, but there are some mistakes. 1. Kazakh Khanate conquered Central Kazakhstan until the Nura river in 1469, after the Uzbek Khanate collapsed. 2. Haqnazar Khan didn’t rule until Togym Khan died in 1538. 3. The primary land of the Senior Juz was the Zhetysu region, which was annexed by Kazakhs in 1556, you didn’t show it at all. 4. You didn’t show the pivotal moment of Kazakh-Dzungar wars in 1723-1729 («Aqtaban shubyryndy»), when 2/3 of Kazakhs died and Dzungars occupied Central and South Kazakhstan and the cities of Tashkent, Yasy, Sauran, Sayram, Syghnaq, Sozaq and Otrar. 5. Junior Juz didn’t own the lands west of Ural river, they came under Kazakh control only when Russian client state of Bokei Horde was formed. 6. All of Middle Juz came under direct Russian control in 1824, they briefly reconquered the land in 1837 during the Kene Khan rebellion. 7. Turkestan came under Tashkent Khanate (and then Kokand Khanate) control in 1784. 8. Alash Autonomy had branches in Petropavlovsk, Kostanay, Kokchetav and Pavlodar, and it didn’t rule Perovsk and Khwarezm. Also, Aktyubinsk and the surroundings weren’t under its control in 1918, only in 1919. 9. Kirghiz ASSR never owned modern Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Instead, there was Turkestan ASSR, which included the territories of South Kazakhstan, big part of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. It was partitioned between Kirghiz ASSR, Uzbek SSR, Tajik ASSR, Kara-Kirghiz and Karakalpak AOs in 1924. Orenburg was annexed by RSFSR in 1925.
Lot’s of mistakes. Many territories omitted. Kazakh Khanate had Jetisu region under its control for a while. That’s where it was actually established. And it seems to never reach Zaysan lake in the East. Which is weird. Omitted the lands of Bokey Horde. Omitted lands of Orenburg region. Orenburg itself was first capital of Soviet Kazakhstan. Left out lands of Turkistan Autonomy (both under Russian Empire and independent) Omitted the lands of Karakalpakstan that was part of Soviet Kazakhstan as well.
Where is Alma-ata and Semei? Kazakh khanate didn’t control those city? Altai, Tarbaghatai, Ile (Northern East Turkistan) also are Kazakh’s land, remember!
Under Kasym Khan (4th Khan), the Kazakh Khanate reached the largest territories in the history of the entire Khanate, and after Jochi only Kasym in Central Asia had such possessions. You didn't show it
in the video, the Kazakh Khanate did not reach its mighty peak under Kasym Khan. And this is a big mistake, because under Kasym it reached its peak and we had Astrakhan under control
Another mistake. In the 50s, some territories of the Kazakh SSR were given to Uzbekistan. On old maps, the Uzbek SSR is much smaller. The rest of the video is very high quality.
Also, the borders of the Alash-Orda were the same as the borders of the Governor-Generalship of the Steppes. It would be more correct to use the flag from here: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alash_Autonomy
Mistakes: 1. You forgot the White horde - first kazakh state 2. Kazakh khanate owned Zhetysu land since 16 century 3. Kazakh khanate founded in another place, near the Balqash lake

@@user-wq7oo1uy9d Most Slavs were not slaves either, only those captured by your ancestors and sold to the Arabs. And no if your ancestors were nomads then they were certainly not Sultans, you are delusional. Nomads knew nothing of possessions or cities nevermind riches and luxuries. If I look in your family tree I will see pastoral nomads, which is only one step up from the sort of hunter-gatherer tribes you can find in Papua New Guinea or Africa. Now in Russia you certainly did have serfdom, but it was prevalent in most of Europe in the Middle Ages, it just lasted in Russia for longer. However before feudalism took hold in Medieval Russia there was no serfdom, and Slavs lived in communes and led a semi-nomadic lifestyle; moving from forest to forest, burning down the stumps of trees to fertilize the ground and then farm it for a couple of generations, before moving on. What race-based slavery? Slavery was outlawed in the Russian Empire, the only thing you had was serfdom - but it applied only to Orthodox Slavs
Because nomads are a people who love freedom
@@user-wq7oo1uy9d Well they need freedom, else they can't feed themselves. But you're romanticizing a very difficult and demanding lifestyle regardless. I can assure you that they had no free hours during the day - every hour other than eating or sleeping was spent doing work.
@@Pythoner Well, unlike the Slavs, they were not slaves, and my ancestors lived well since they were Sultans.
What is today called slash and burn agriculture. But it was a primitive existence and I don't romanticize it.
@@Pythoner I don't know what you're saying. I am a direct descendant of Abulkhair Khan from the Junior Juz. I don't know where you get the information from. But my ancestors lived well before the fall of the Russian Empire.

I can't donate that much since i'm a student. But i've felt so bad that your videos don't get much views despite the efforts you've put into it.
Hi, thank you for your support! I'm hoping to launch a membership program soon as an alternative to Patreon, but don't worry about it if you can't spend money. The best way to support the channel is simply liking, commenting on, and sharing my videos!
