Even if you aren't a fan of disclosure or the music he's remixing, Guy is just SUCH a good producer. Incredible attention to detail musically and from a technical/engineering perspective. I've really learned a lot from watching him
Love how many of the artists featured on the channel have given you their blessing, nobody is crying over stolen content, everyone recognises the mutual benefit in this endeavour. Spread the knowledge, create community: everybody wins.
Thats something I've noticed a lot of top producers in live streams do, they'll add an effect even if its only mixed in at 5%. Every little detail counts, put the time in and thats how you make great beats. 1 great beat is better than 1000 mediocre beats
@@peraelawey Eh, depends on ur skill level. Work up to getting to a point where ur beats are pretty good then focus on efficiency. At the end of the day though, 1 great beat can get u a major placement. 1000 mediocre beats can keep u in the same place for years. Thats what I mean.
I have no choice but to become a better producer now. The amount of gold that is coming out of all these guys streams is just insane. Keep posting Sol!
What shocked me was Disclosure's attention to detail on nearly EVERY sound. Maybe we need to give each of our sounds a little more love too. Full Song - ruclips.net/video/WXGk4WAN7ss/видео.html Thanks to Disclosure's Twitch - www.twitch.tv/disclosure Disclsoure's Full Doja Cat Remix Breakdown - ruclips.net/video/ptoPgC4lBSc/видео.html
straight and to the point! Sol State putting in that work, the little edits too like the black and white filter when the sound doesn't have effects, and then the color comes back on the video when the effects are on. I'm just going to keep commenting on these videos because they literally bring so much value to the community thank you!
Dude, you're teaching me a lot by making these cuts, since I don't understand much English (I'm Brazilian) and your cuts go straight to the point. so, thx man :)
Astoundingly good producer! And every little tip he gives is ACTIONABLE! He's not giving vague random advice -- anyone can DO the things he's doing. They may seem like minute little changes, but it all adds up! The average listener doesn't think "Gosh I really like how the hi hat changes on every hit," they just FEEL it. He proves the old adage: "Genius is the capacity for taking infinite pains."
That's a lot of experience right there. Modulation is the key for sure. I also noticed that he uses Ableton, Logic and...was that Reaper he said? That guy is versatile producer for sure. Switching between different workflows must be dope.
Yeah, he specifically uses Ableton for a feature called Rewire - Ableton's audio processing and things you can do with audio stems are often more versatile than in logic, so he plays the audio back live from an ableton project into Logic. Disclosure are damn good at what they do, for sure!
Yeah I met them outside an airport where a festival had mucked up my flights they were the goodest guys gave me some beers and made sure we were all good Something a lot of people as big as them would'nt do
For the delay in the original vocals, wouldn’t a regular volume automation take care of that more easily? Especially in the middle of the whole mix! But great awesome video condensing everything, thanks a lot Sol! Guy just showing us how much of a great mind he is again
What a gift to aspiring and established music producers alike! I would have easily dropped a Benjamin for the knowledge that I gained in this short 9 min and 22 sec. Thanks Sol State!! #SUBSCRIBED
It might be a minor thing to most people, but I’m so much more inclined to watch a video that is suggesting a way to produce, rather then the countless videos by total randoms telling me what I’m doing wrong, or need to stop doing 😂
I’m so glad that you’re putting out these cut versions of streams done by them. What’s really interesting is that they know what they are doing. I know everything they’ve done but I’ve never been able to put them together like they did 😂
never thought to trigger chords with a noise gate, even though ive used this technique to layer kick drums plenty of times xD pretty cool. this was a great watch

Thank you! FYI Disclosure are doing weekly remix contests with prizes (details on discord)
Your sound design is so nasty. Thanks for all the gems!
so many anthems of my upbringing to your name haha- thanks for doing what you do!!
Approve this, great server!!
Massive sound - love these deep dives into your work. Y'all are my inspiration for my live show too! ruclips.net/video/6gu8r5L4EDM/видео.html

It's scary how good he is.
All I could think throughout was "Who even thinks of that? And that?" Attention to detail is key! I sure don't have that attention!

Subtle moves :)
Depends on the genre tho. If you take more than 30min on a trap u’r just overdoing things and not being efficient
@@peraelawey Eh, depends on ur skill level. Work up to getting to a point where ur beats are pretty good then focus on efficiency. At the end of the day though, 1 great beat can get u a major placement. 1000 mediocre beats can keep u in the same place for years. Thats what I mean.
@@peraelawey Every beat demands something different. Efficiency is an important skill to have, but so is detail.
Tips on how to finish beats I have a lot of arrangements that just sit when should I bounce and how do I master it?? Do I need to master?
I have no choice but to become a better producer now.

Not gonna lie, when he started imitating effects with his mouth, it was so relatable. 😂 👍👍
You have too 🔐

Cracking job again Sol
Very inspiring and can learn loads from these insights

Thanks, appreciate your support mate!
I didn't care so much about disclosure even knowing they are awesome producers, but in the last months i'm LOVING them, thanks to you
If anyone deserves some extra love, might as well be Disclosure!

love this channel, thank you for spending time to sort through these streams 👏

and its not just 'buy this plugin'. love these vids
3:29 those chords sound so beautiful
Facts, need the tutorial for real

I think Disclosure mainly uses Ableton for warping and minor loop editing
Sometimes I like artists because they are good people. I didn't know about Disclosure before, but I'm a new fan now.
They’re genuinely amazing people
Great people & great music! Respect.
Yeah I met them outside an airport where a festival had mucked up my flights they were the goodest guys gave me some beers and made sure we were all good
Something a lot of people as big as them would'nt do
Listen to "discussing what matters"
3:30 It's the same chord used by Mount Kimbie in the song Carbonated.
Wow good ear!
Disclosure paying respect to their roots with all that wonky flavor
Guy has a great teaching style, communicates very clearly you can really see how things fit together & why it sounds so good.
This man giving out all his sauce like it ain't nun, respect !!!
This is so insane i cant believe this video exists. You’re literally a legend disclosure
going through all thesse streams and giving us the best tips in a nice organized fashion, my dude I don't deserve you , thank you
Appreciate u :)
This is fast becoming my favorite channel for production.
This channel is the single greatest thing on youtube right now for producers. HANDS DOWN. PROTECT SOL STATE AT ALL COSTS!
Hah thanks. Follow me on insta Jesus 😂
"...making it sound like the synth has got something a bit wrong with it..." 🤝
Sol State doing a real service. Thank you.
Using a noise gate as a trigger is one of the funnest and easiest tricks every producer should use.
0:34 a much more reliable technique would be izotope dialogue de-reverb. It works amazing with vocals
Good tip. Thanks
They say knowledge is power.. so big ups for dropping the knowledge.
For real though this remix is a masterpiece
Legendary producer, thanks for all the free tips!
This is another world when you know nothing about Music Production. Amazing Work !
I have seen them in my city here in Michigan about 5 years back. The show was amaaaaaazing
Best music production channel so far
That was dope! From plug-ins,swing, to those claps. Very fresh and inspiring.
Fantastic overview of some production tips. Will be using these in my own future productions for sure!
These is actually some brilliant subtle stuff here more advanced level application but very much worth playing around with in practice
Your channel is so useful it’s insane
This Guy (wink) is a true master. We're all really lucky that we get to see him doing this.
Yeah that Guy ;)
This guy is actually genius.
Artistically and creatively genius.
Love his respect for Dilla
more of this guys please. great content!

6:09 yesss bigblesss this is such a good comboooo gated instruments is def a moove
Goddamn he is so good at making the sounds/frequencies he's referring to with only his mouth
I love that… “where did you get the stems”… “from Doja cat”…. Thug life
This might’ve been one of the cooler breakdowns I’ve seen. It’s cool to see how artists make the song interesting
Ooo, another good one. I like the noise gate and the whistle sample.... The wobble on 5% to give a phasing effect is also genius. So simple!
Hey Brian! It's all so simple but it really does add up!
What a gift to aspiring and established music producers alike! I would have easily dropped a Benjamin for the knowledge that I gained in this short 9 min and 22 sec. Thanks Sol State!! #SUBSCRIBED

Crazy the inspiration J Dilla has on him!! Shows how great of a producer Dilla was
Been enjoying these , keep em coming .
Thanks for post these highlights

this is one of my favorite channel, thanks for all you do Sol!
Great to hear, thanks!
oooh love that release automation on the 909- it's the little things E>
make so much sense for something that plays literally every beat, right?!
Such a good channel keep it up legend.
THAT'S PRETTY NEAT!!
sorry, wrong stream... o.O
Plenty of 💎s!!! Big respect for sharing!! 🙌🏾
0:57 when using a free plugin makes him laugh...
The main synth is a free one lol
They're not really free, they're stock, they come with logic which costs money.
You the GOAT for these edits
Disclosure are 🐐’d man 🥺
UKG 🐐s
Super helpful tutorial and this will definitely help us get inspired and achieve great things production-wise! Really well done!!! 👏👏👏
Such a great producer!
FIRE!
This is gold man, thank you so much for sharing this with us.
That little info about the rights to remixes was very interesting.
Thanks, it's important to know this stuff to enable a sustainable music career!
this is my fav channel.
Wow thanks!
Cool tricks. Great video thanks! 👏🏻
Even though he’s showing his tricks the real thing is his music knowledge and ability.
Many thanks for the great videos, I really appreciate that ❤️
never thought to trigger chords with a noise gate, even though ive used this technique to layer kick drums plenty of times xD
pretty cool. this was a great watch
Love starting my week with this. Great stuff
Dope content!
Never seen a producer go into so much depth and make it sound so easy, it’s obviously not. Never seen a producer go that deep full stop, too be fair.
Such a killer track. Makes it look so easy.
Sol state is my hero
Running was the first disclosure song I heard back in 2012
LEGENDS !!
Wow. The first time I have known something that he does not know! The sidechain gate trick.
That Canblaster noise gate trick! ;-) nice
fantastic, thanks
EVOC ftw. Always loved that synth. Oddly overlooked.
Sidechain-triggered noise gate is insane holy shit I can't believe I never thought of that
this is amazing
just incredible
Thanks. This is choice!

Whats the preset called in the outro song from the bass?
Amazing. Thank you
Thank you too!

Where'd you get the stems? lol. From Doja Cat.
I want that cutline dnb kick 2, he uses it all the time.
