Hi Lorie, another great vid......I think Bicol is a hidden gem among the Philippines. Vloggers, ex-pats and vacationers focus on places like Cebu, Dumaguete, El Nedo, Bohol, etc. All the filipinas you interview from Camarines Sur are all very charming and intelligent, always brings a smile my face watching your channel.

Definitely some classy young ladies in Bicol but also career and culture driven. Many when presented with the opportunity to move overseas in their 20's would apparently refuse despite the earnings potential. For Filipinos that do not marry a foreigner eventually, their earnings potential drops every year after school. They make the most money in their 20's as opposed to in the West where most men in particular hit their financial stride around 35-40 years old. A complete flip and why women have marred men 10+ years their senior going back 100+year in the West, and something that Filipinas have learned. Financial stability and loyalty are prized assets. A Filipina can come to the US via her partner, make $25K working 20 hours a week without a college degree, and do whatever she wants with it. Send it home, buy as many pairs of shoes as Almeda Marcos, etc.

Its nice to know the locals will help you learn the language. Not really a suprise as they always try to be helpful. I could help them with thier English in return.
I did think about learning Tagalog before I visited but I may end up like many in the visayas. So plan to learn on the ground where I can also practice, when that time comes.

The last girl is very forth coming what I mean by that is she’s very upfront and straight forward.Kinda hard to find that in Filipinas only because they can be extremely shy and less confident but when Filipinas start to break out of that they can start to be more honest and straight forward like her.As far as the other women in the video I can understand that there saying men need to be more considerate of others and of their partner most definitely in a relationship of course.

Kamusta po kayo! I am learning Filipino on my own because I want to become a part of the culture and not just experience like a holiday trip. As a respect based culture to live amongst the people but not adapt to me is arrogance.
I think a lot of women confuse what emotional intelligence is, and I like how you said emotional sensitivity. That's what most women are is sensitive. Someone with emotional intelligence has learned to recognize their emotions and when and where it is appropriate to display them. Women mostly say they want a man to lead which means we have to have our eyes up and looking around for dangers and a path forward, this provides a woman the privilege of security and the luxury of exploring her emotions. If a man did that and both were sensitive no one would be leading but will be reactive to one another and quarrelsome. As well when a woman becomes like a man she is less soft and feminine, like western women, and are no longer pleasant company.
This is why God is over man who is over his wife who is over the children. When the man follows God the wife can support him knowing she is doubly protected.

Do you handle that very well by telling him to stop? And you know you're trying to record there. You are you always get great interviews and everybody's always really comfortable around you. That's like I said, before, that's a gift. That's a gift. That you have with people. People love being around you. People gravitate towards you. That's a good thing. Not a lot of people have that her answers were genuine. She was a little nervous, but that's OK and she.

Q : What do you want in a man?
    "Emotional Intelligence"
    "Communication"
    "Show feelings"
If only they cared to think about these words deeply in Tagalog to realize how awkward they sound before saying them out in English

I like the question about whether Bicol is a good place for foreigners to visit. It seems easy to find information about tourist areas and party towns/cities. What about those of us that like a more relaxed lifestyle? I would like to find a source about different areas outside of the major cities.

    • @TheFuentesFamYT
      @TheFuentesFamYT 8 месяцев назад

I guess Goa would be perfect for more relaxed lifestyle. Not too many tourists and I don’t think it’s more like a party town.

You should look more into the Mindanao region far south in the Philippines it is more laid back and slow pace. The southern part of the Philippines do have some cities but they aren’t as big as Cebu,Manila and plus in the southern part of the Philippines there is way better traffic. Its not so dense either it’s more rural more wide open space 😊.

Last i checked for online tutors of busaya language... i saw many having extortionprices.
The prices was "chesp" hourly prices for western workers... but very expensive when consider they live in the philippines.
And considering how many hours are needed... it will get very expensive veey fast.
I wish Roseta Stibe platform had Bisaya.
      Roseta Stine have tagalog.
Its very good interactive way to learn languages.
Beats tutors, casette/cs/dvd playback solutions by a landslide.
      Definitly recommend Roseta stone.
But it can not help me eith Busaya, as that native language is missing :(
