I've had tons of requests for a "Harley Dyna How To Wheelie," so here it is! For the record, I'm still in the beginning stages of my Harley Wheelies, so this is very much a beginner to intermediate level tutorial. Check out channels like @Dom829 and @JBSTUNTZ for some better examples.

Harley wheelies just hit different for me... I think it’s the shock factor... people can’t believe what they’re seeing lol
No doubt the experience is a unique one.
It's like doing wheelies on a refrigerator
Niko's Chop Shop have you ever done one? 🤣 don’t know if I’d describe it as that
@@brockclouser1500 on my way to the lot right now actually 🤘
Niko's Chop Shop let’s gooooo. What you ride? Sporty or dyna?
I just can't risk dumping the only bike I have. If I crash and have nothing to ride, id be depressed and lost.
Gotta risk it for the biscuit
You still got it bro? Any wheelies yet in 2 years! Lol
Can't rock a dyna if you ain't doing dyna things tfffffffffaaaaaahhhhhh
Get a little pit bike and build it and get use to the bike and I promise you can convert it to sportsters and dyna
No one pays better than insurance
I literally check to see playback speed is on normal when you’re talking haha. Really helpful stuff thanks
Killer! Thanks for the tips, the low throttle method helped me out a ton. Keep doing what you do man.
I have no interest in doing this on my Sportster but I sure do enjoy watching you do the wheelies & power slides, nice vid!
You're doing great Jon.. I'll never stunt my 16 street bob, Im just a rider, but I admire you guys that do!
I just got a 2016 street bob, love it
Send it or sell it
Anything can go up if you try hard
This video should get viral! Thanks for the detailed explanation. Stay safe! 🤘😎⚡️
I ride a sportster 5'6" 150lbs , I find hardest part is getting the clutch/gas timing right. I notice your not using alot of gas, but adding the gas first then popping the clutch. I need to get the seat bounce involved I think would help alot
Brother,That was one of the best damn detailed videos i ever seen! Thanks
💯🤙
You are a boss. You deserve more subscribers than 42k.
Dude you picked up on wheelies and drifting really well. Like one guy mentioned, your a humble guy, one of many reasons I watch your videos. Would love to see you wheelie and drift a Roadglide soon. Do you plan on joining a stunt team or maybe making some money in stunt shows eventually? Keep kicking ass ✌🏻
Finally a COMPREHENSIVE How to on Wheely-ing a DYNA. Good Job Jon, I follow u on IG as well. Thanks for all the time and effort!
I’ve been waiting on this vid from you Jon! Thanks for the in depth tutorial. Now let’s see if I could find balance point on my sporty 🤘🏼
Rest in peace to the god. First album I ever had was The Great Depression. Moms bailed on us. I was being bullied. That album man, if it wasn't for Who We Be I would have killed myself before I turned 12. What a loss man. As I rev the hell out of my Harley in South Africa. Thank you DOG. You were loved more than you will ever imagine.
Im just riping my dirt bike , don't even own a harley. but this is wicked. Il subscribe lol
Jon epic video, confirmed a lot of stuff I’ve heard or been practicing as well as some bad habits to break. Appreciate you!
Your making me think about getting a bigger rear pulley for my Nightster. I like curvy roads too much, but i have to travel 150 miles to get to some curvy roads and my set up is good for now to maintain 70mph. Lol, I guess I've been picking good tires all this time, love me some shinko's.
Excellent teaching video 👍
awesome vid.... yup... i am right at getting that rear to stick.. i am on shinko 777 and figuring out the amount of pull to throttle to clutch... it is just like you say, to much throtlle it wont stick. so fun though... goin out tomorrow to work on them :-)
Heck yeah! The challenge is half the fun and once you figure out the right formula, it's an absolute blast!
Great vid for beginners learnt a lot 👍🏼
How do you think the new 2020 low rider s will be able to handle wheelies with the mono shock ?
Thanks, man! I know of a few dudes who are doing wheelies on the newer harleys. I think set up is key. 👌💯
good job john.
Great video dude thanks for the tips👍
What psi are you running in this video
I’m not really a fan of Harley Davidson but if you can wheelie one that’s the coolest thing ever
I think the most important thing is to have good sticky rubber, hard cruiser tires are likely to lose traction rather than grip
When you gonna get a bagger to throw around too?
I came close to picking one up a few months back (before getting the fxdx). I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the right deal.
@@JonsMotoGarage not for nothing and i really like your channel but you really kinda suck at getting good deals!just saying
Beside the step up seat and holding on to the handle bars do you lock your feet under the foot pegs
I’m about 6ft , 150lbs wet,
I usta wheelie my old cop bagger, love Harley’s for wheelies
Thank you man so much
Well that a great tutorial So far I’ve seen
Love your vids! I taught myself how to do wheelies on a savage 650 a few months ago just cause I picked the bike up for a couple hundred dollars but I've been to scared to try it on my low s lol
HD belts rarely wear out. I wish I could trust my feet enough to hit the rear brake. At 50 I cannot feel anything from the knees down. Snow skiing accident. I literaly have to look down at my foot to use the rear brake.
I feel your pain (partly). I went to the skatepark today after months away. I took one run in the bowl and was totally exhausted. Lol. Came home shortly after and my knees have been aching ever since.
@Martial Artist
My 03 SV1000S loves a good power wheelie, but nowhere close to balance point. I did those when much younger, usually on 2 stroke dirtbikes.
Put a handbrake on for the rear
You start adding some power and well I have snapped two of them!
@@paintslinger16
Oh gawd, don't add power to an HD! They are designed for much less than they currently provide. Stock.
Do you have to change the stock cables for the 5.5!inch riser and bar set you have? Thanks
Hey bro, that's so nice. I love your instructions. But when my bikes are going away it's to expansive to repair. I would try that really, but I will not crash my bikes.
Hellyeah from Germany bro
❤️🔥🤟🐺❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Do you wheelie in 1st or 2nd gear? I have a drz and I wheelie in 2nd. I have a streetbob btw
1st, 2nd, or 3rd on the drz. 1st on the dyna. 💯👌
i ChAsE mY wHeElIeS 😂😂 first wheelie just cruisin at noon
How'd you get your elite mototech clutch lever to work right? On my fxdls it just doesn't work, no matter how much I adjust the clutch basket adjuster and cable adjuster it either stalls when put in 1st gear or rolls pretty hard, doesn't ever disengage right. But when I put stock lever back on with same adjustments it's perfectly fine. Driving me crazy!
It's all in the clutch adjustment. I installed it myself on the street bob and had some of those issues initially. Kruesi originals installed it on the fxdx and it's perfect. Did rebel reaper ever get those gloves mailed out?
@@JonsMotoGarage I finally received the gloves October 9th.. A month after I ordered them. They said they shipped them but I think they forgot too, never got a email or any notifications until I reached out. I was hoping they'd hook me up with a extra pair for taking a month but no lol
@@PkwyDrive13 dang, dude! Glad you finally got em! Sorry to hear about your not so awesome experience.💯🤙
Hey I’ve been looking into getting a stunt bike and would really like to jump straight in to the Harley wheelies. Do you think it’s possible? Or should I start with a 600 or something. I rode a 1000cc sport bike for years so I’m really comfortable on a bike
I have a very similar set up but having a very hard time getting it to come up, I have 13in shocks but is it better with the spring stiffened up or soft? And what's a good tire pressure to try?
With a newer tire and good tread, I've had luck with 30-35psi but once tread starts to wear (and depending on variables like temp, surface, etc.), I drop pressure as low as 5-10psi if that's what it takes. 😆 obviously not recommended for hitting the streets or freeway.
@@JonsMotoGarage I'll drop it down! I got the rolling burnouts down so she's a little work haha thanks man! Great video btw
@@burninnickols8191 yeah, once you start burning rubber, it becomes a bit more of a challenge. But burning rubber is such a blast as well! 💯🤘
I got a Indian scout bobber I really wanna try this but I’m not sure about this
Need advice 🥲
Yo I want to paint my dyna a color just like that, what paint code/color is that!?
Whats that brake rotor setup your running?
Can you wheelie a stock 1200?
Is it possible to 12 o’clock a soft tail?
Let’s gooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
What was the bike leaking ?
Hey can you link me any more info on the oil pan mod?
Btw you kill it dude
can someone help us find this?
My bike wont pop up atleast a foot off the ground i have 21in front wheel + foward controls with a shinko 777 rear tire stock 883 with stock belt drive. i tried everything lol
Where do I get that gas cap
Love that purple. Is it the stock color?
Stock 2000 fxdx 💯👍
When your forks are parallel with the ground are u using the rear break or still just throttle at at that point?
I'm always modulating the rear brake a tiny bit. Some dudes only use rear brake if they dip too far back. Im still not super confident in my throttle control.
@@JonsMotoGarage gracias loco time to practice
I wanna learn how to do this on my Vulcan 2000
Parts list?
You in Phoenix or Tucson
Dude can you send me a link to your handlebar setup
2016 wide glide does power wheelies in 1st
See the fuel just pouring outa his carb
that WAP
if you can use rear brake and you are slowing it down, your already way ahead of 90% of riders overall.
10% of riders actually push and learn skills 90% are hack jobs that never progress.
Hey......nothing quite doing like a full on wheelie and using your front brake for an emergency stop.....snort!
@@TheWolfsnack huh?
Hello Jon, .. I have a Sporster and I want to learn wheelies. Do you think it is better to learn on a supermoto first? Furthermore, how important is it that the bar of the sporster is a t-Bar like yours, is it also possible with a low bar? Thanks... great videos
T bar isn't necessary. Learning on a sumo first will be a lot easier. That's how I did it. But lots of people start on sportsters too.
16:04 -something near front jug (maybe carb?) is pissin hard bud, right inside your right leg, you can see it just hosin. Dont wanna see her blow eh.
Hella gas
@@caseyjones6316 Yeah its clear, gotta be.
Yeah, there are a few spots I need to plug up on the carbs. Lol
Dude are you by the DMV..?
Thought this would be fun to do on my softail but after the intro I realized my cahones aren't as big as Jon's.
ugh, as cool as it is, I wish my scout bobber wasn't so low...
lol then again, I need a smaller bike just to get started.
Scout bobber is a pretty rad bike. I've done a few demo rides. Not necessarily a slow bike compared to your standard entry level cruisers.
Jon's Moto Garage in your opinion would a scout be able to wheelie if you tried??
If it's not too much trouble, can you buy a bmw 750gs, practice/learn exactly how to ride a great wheelie, then make a video that is just as informative? Thanks.
Haha! Ill see what I can do.
He had to show he was qualified in the beginning
Awesome how to man. Thanks
I may be wrong but you look like you're leaking gas on the right side dude
Thanks, brotha! And yes, carbs leaking some gas. 😂
Like a DRZ but bigger. And I still can’t wheelie a DRZ
I'm learning with a belt 🤷♂️
If i could wheelie as long as you can id be happy
Hold on. Why am I finding out from your RUclips VIDEO that you crashed (again)?! Is it that normal that it isn't news anymore?! 🤣😅
How do you see?--You don't. LoL
Check out Brian 636
"may not want to do this day 1"
Yam noob gave you a shout out
Rr
hablas muy rapido
Beginner/Intermediate my ass lol. You’re at least semi-pro...
Could i do this on a bone stock honda shadow
Would be pretty tough but possibly if you stood on the seat...
