It's amazing how many of these native drummers are on You Tube. Equally amazing is the fact that they all sound virtually the same. I can only figure that it takes very little talent to do that.
Everytime I watch this video It makes me happy. Djembe as it has been played for ages, real music.

I Shot this vidéo, and i confirm Famoudou Konate on Sangban, Daouda Kourouma on dunduns, Noumoudy Keita on Solo and M’fabory on second Djembe ....
Michel. I owe you so much for filming this. It says so much about the status of djembe and dunu playing at the time and a bit into the past with these men. Without this specific piece, I would feel too big a part of djembe/dunu history had been lost. I owe you so much. THANK YOU! Alan Tauber
