"Push and Shove" as I said since day one, was never a bad album. It was a really good and professional New Wave/Alternative album. However, it wasn't a proper and epic album they should've released as a comeback album. People expected something more rock-ish album "similar" to "Tragic Kingdom" or "Return Of Saturn". You know what? I never expected a "retro 90s ND album" that would have been very naive. But at least something more rock oriented with maybe 1 or 2 punky songs. "Push and Shove" would have been a cool following album after the "real comeback album" everybody expected. Of course it has some hidden masterpieces like "Undercover" (one of my favorite songs in the world and a New Wave masterpiece influenced by "Two Times Blue" by Debbie Harry), "Undone" (that it could pass easily as a song from "Saturn"), "Sparkle" (live version less overproduced) and of course cool songs like "Looking Hot" (with sarcastic lyrics as they said that no one got it and also influenced by "Drop Dead Gorgeous" by Republica band) and "Push and Shove" (song), that they wanted it to be the first single but their label didn't allowed them to drop it as the first one. Anyways "Push and Shove" album was too Pop oriented when everybody expected something more rock oriented. It had some things to be fixed (like some songs were unnecessary long) and the only one really BAD song on the album imo (sorry ND) was "Easy"... man wth was that... In conclusion: Push and Shove = a nice and cool New Wave album but didn't have the epicness to be a comeback album after 10 years of waiting.
I agree. Its not bad. But it’s nowhere near as fun to listen to as their previous albums, which were all very energetic and unique.

Omg this album sucked. As did this song. No wonder why they stopped. The best ones were tragic kingdom, return of Saturn, beacon street collection some songs, then rocksteady was a completely different mainstream and different direction. I was lossedcthey changed their style but it grew on me and took some getting used to. It was good. This one came full circle with their original no doubt album with starting with crappy heading up. Peaking the declining with this last album.
