@@JP0411 You know in Japan’s Harajuku culture, there are lots girls who use fake tan and braid and dreadlock their hair to mimic the Afro Caribbean music and culture they love. Why is it that when they do it it’s an homage but if a Western person does it, it’s cultural appropriation? I’m a creative and I think there are definitely instances where it is not appropriate but it’s very much about tone and context. Anyone with a fundamental knowledge of popular culture and art history will know that throughout the world, over many generations, there have been various instances of people referencing things they love. Personally, I don’t find this offensive. Case in point, 90’s Hip Hop and Skater culture. Those baggy trousers and jeans initially were a reference of the fact that African American kids would wear hand-me-downs from their older siblings because they didn’t have enough money to buy new things all the time. This spawned an on-going trend where fashion conscious people around the world wore baggy jeans and trousers. Are we all then guilty of cultural appropriation? And what about Ska and Two Tone music? Are famous British bands like Madness guilty of cultural appropriation for referencing Reggae beats? Someone needs to define the parameters because people are using Cultural Appropriation out of context. Don’t just apply that term to everything, it completely devalues it.

If you compare then to now there are obvious signs of plastic surgery and botox. Having said that, it is very well executed work. And she is in amazing shape which there is no faking.
I'm a private English teacher in Brazil, and after teaching my students "Don't Speak" (which they absolutely loved), they sent me "Let Me Reintroduce Myself" before I had even heard it. We needed a fun song to finish 2020, and this video to start 2021!! Also, Gwen won The Voice with Carter... :)

Surgery can only get you so far. It’s the same with Autotune in the studio. You have to have a foundation. You don’t just create beauty like hers from nothing. I’m sure she’s had some tweaks done but you can see it when she’s photographed head-to-toe. She takes good care of her skin and naturally ages as well.
