Is paddling all it takes to keep one of those things afloat? Or is it how you get started if you crash and have no wave to get going again? Looks damn fun but I know there's always a caveat and getting started and dead water seems to be that but I also have no clue lol.
I might be wrong about this but I think the board floats. If he falls he just gets back on it then paddle until it builds enough momentum to do the thing
What KT board is that? Is it the Wing Drifter? What length were you riding? How much do you weigh? Is your board deck bellow the water line when you paddel it up from flatwater?

I always tried to imagine an ivention that would allow us to fly utilizing our own physical strongth, found out it's impossible. sail on water like this looks just as fun
Good guess but the waves are cresting from our right to left so you're going into the wind, not with it. Of course it doesn't matter, your on a foil. Make it do what you want. I have to get my brother one of those. Looks like a blast. Enjoy your ride. See if you can go up a 9' wall, then ride the crushed white water in.

I think if he crashes he can take off again from anywhere.
It takes some work: paddling + pumping + catching wave all at the same time.

With sail screen it will be achieved over 90km/h only with wind faster than most bike on road
you have to pump them alot more than this video to stay afloat. they also dont even go half this speed. unless you have a motor of course
