Norwegian Olympic Skiers try Traditional Korean Delicacies!?

- After having Norwegian Olympic Skiers Andreas and Bastion on our show to try Korean drinks, we decide to take them out to a very traditional Korean food market near PyeongChang. Andreas especially survives off a diet of Fries and Salad at home, and so we were very curious to see what he thought about some of local market's specialties: from deep fried fish cakes and crispy Korean fried chicken to red bean filled fish pancakes and even silk worm larvae!? Watch to the end to see if we manage to persuade them of the value of being adventurous and trying new things! Enjoy!!
저희 라이브 쇼에서 노르웨이 올림픽 선수들 안드레아스, 바스티안씨와 함께 한국 음료수를 마셔봤는데요, 그 뒤에 같이 한국 전통시장에 데려가기로 했어요. 안드레아씨는 특히 집에서 감자튀김이랑 샐러드만 먹고 사신다고 해서, 시장에서 파는 한국 길거리 음식에 대해 어떻게 생각하는지 궁금해지더라고요: 튀긴 어묵 고로케부터 시작해서 닭강정, 붕어빵, 그리고 번데기까지!! 꼭 끝까지 보셔서 저희가 안드레아씨에게 모험적으로 새로운 것들을 시도해보는게 얼마나 좋은건지 설득할 수 있는지 직접 확인해주세요!!

I got a week long flu when my -sadist- mother fried those red chilli. I even get blisters on my skin if I touch them and I kid you not I'm not even allergic to them.

Andreas is the pickiest eater i've ever seen! He was scared to eat pear and a cheese croquette? LOL
Maybe it is an athlete thing? My cousin in a tennis player and he is extremely picky as well. His staple food is Pringles.
Emily King he’s from a very rural area in the mountains Norway. There’s like 50 people that live in his village so it’s not surprising that his palette is limited

예전부터 영국남자 팬이지만
이번 평창올림픽 하면서 진심으로 대단하다고 느꼈음.
단순히 한국을 좋아하는 영국사람 수준을 뛰어넘은것 같음.

They are SO typical Norwegian its hillarious.... We will never be rude when it comes to food (of they were raised with manners) but always honest when it comes to likes and dislikes. In Norway its typically seen as rude to pretend to like something if you dont like it, but its polite to try it, and if you dont like it then you just say that its not your thing, but not in a rude way... you see it on them that they are not rude when they say they dont like something.

It’s the same for us. I‘m from Germany and my mother always told me, that if I don’t like it then It’s ok to not eat it (everyone has their likes and dislikes) , BUT I always had to at least try it first.
How else are you supposed to know how it tastes?

I hated salad growing up and my mum said I had to try it at least 20 times before I was allowed to say that I didn't like it
I think she forced me to eat it more than that tho, but I started liking it with time so it worked I guess
I’ve always thought the whole “white people can’t eat mayonnaise because it’s too spicy” thing was a joke until I met Andreas.
Andreas is from a small village in the mountains of Norway. There is probably a very limited amount of different food you can get up there. Same if you take an Indian from a small village and show him something like a beef burger.

As a fellow northerner who can't stomach spices either I can totally relate to Andreas :D but I'm trying to get accustomed to more spices so when I eventually get the chance to actually be in Korea I won't starve! and the new series looks great, can't wait!
Anna You don't need to worry that much. 😂 Even in Korea, there are lots varieties you can have without torturing your stomach. By the way, I really want to try some of Scandinavian cuisin, there was no chance at all yet.
