Thank you for sharing this with Ethiopian people and people like myself who are overseas. As someone who was born in Ethiopia I am a huge fan of art & photography so to see and hear each one of the artists was wonderful. So much has changed in the last 20 years I have lived in Ethiopia as a young kid. I look forward to visiting art galleries/photography exhibition. Please let me know if you have public Instagram I can follow and you can recommend Jazz bars as I love Jazz. I am planning to visit Ethiopia hopefully in the next 2 years and let me tell you there is no place like Ethiopia!! I've been so far but I've never forgotten. Thank you again. ❤

@Liya-q6r You wouldn't believe the amount of times a habesha started talking to me in their language, then see my confusion. "Habesha"? I say 'no, Somali' we both laugh and go our separate ways. When did the genocide you mentioned happend.? I guess you may answer, “of course, in Meneliks time”! Which period in the history of that land is called the “dark period?” Has the land had ever known a period/epoch of enlightenment or a bright and sunny administration?..which people would nostalgically recall or celebrate?..it has sweated under one or another feudal potentate or an authocratic monarch in league with the ever-present clergy, or, to make it even worse, under a sequence of an ethnic tyranny and dominance to which the populace seems in permanent turmoil and bracing for another round of whoever comes around!,, Good art show you did, I should say.
@DWHistoryandCulture That claim she made about Ethiopian women on 2:35-2:39 of the video is simply not true. I couldn’t just scroll past without addressing this because it’s important to stand up for the truth about our people. Ethiopian women are incredibly hardworking and play a massive role in keeping our society and economy moving forward. From farming to running businesses, managing homes, and much more, their contributions are undeniable-even if they’re not always formally documented. In fact, according to credible sources like the World Bank, nearly 75% of Ethiopian women are part of the labor force. Throwing out statements like this without proper context or facts diminishes the reality of what these women achieve every day. Let’s respect their efforts by representing them truthfully, not reducing their contributions to baseless statistics.
