  • more work continues on our XMC holley carburetor project! this particular prototype is the one we are doing a channel collaboration with ‪@josephnowak‬, were we are testing how the shape of the entrance of the carburetor affects flow through it!
Joseph Nowak has a flow bench that he has already flowed our stock configuration holley 600cfm vacuum secondary carburetor and have gotten flow numbers for it! now its our turn to modify the carburetor in whatever way we think will gain the most usable cfm.
we cut off the choke tower and ported the entrance, then we ported and blended the secondarys the best we could to try and make the best radius entry we can with what we have to work with so far.
next we will be working on the baseplate getting that thinned down and streamlined!
once that is done we will call it there and send it back to Joseph for retesting, we wont be done however for this is just doing what the common guy would do.....after this back to back results...then we get creative if you know what I mean!

      Flathead screwdriver!
Shove the screwdriver in-between the choke shaft and the bump on the plate holding it in and twist the screwdriver. Should start popping the plate up, work at it on both sides until it just pops out 😁

Have one down there but....Idk I just like using the hand saw rather then dragging the electric out and plugging it in, then having to put it all back away again 😅

      Yep!
We are doing this project in steps from basic mods up to things people probably have never thought of or seen before lol 😆
After I get done doing some baseplate mods then it will be shipped off for testing for this basic first setup 😁
