Hi and first thanks for this video, maybe it's impossible with this kits, but anyone tried to test if have good recognition software (for example por use this kit for use in main door of the house for open it, but i don't found info of false positives, for example test with a lot of faces for see if make false positives).

is there any way to send image data serially from the Matlab process on K210 & retrieve the results ?!
I don't think you can send an image through serial, too slow. Maybe wifi would do better
How is the performance using custom neural networks? Do they got a Linux version of the IDE and stuff?

Hey, I just got the board. Now I have two problems: 1. I can't get the OpenMV apriltag example running (out of memory) 2. I even run demo_scan_qr_code.py (out of memory). Do you know any fix?
Can this board be used to recognize when a specific person enters the room and make some kind of a database record of who and when entered the room?
So these all have wifi?? Can't find where it says wifi or not
Edit: Figured it out. The M1W models have WiFi. Also the Maixduino has an esp32 onboard so it also has BT.
Great video! I cannot get ide to connect to my Miax dock. Putty connects without any problems. Any suggestions?

I have exactly the same problems i.e. putty connects but not the camera on Miax dock.
Can somebody help me, I'm using Sipeed Maixduino, but when I am trying to run the example "take picture" the program shows me an error OSerror: Reset Failed, in the line "sensor.reset()", Could the sensor (camera) be broken? Idk, thanks in advance.

Hey, Tiziano, hope everything is well. I have a similar board however instead of connecting it to a PC, I connected it to a microcontroller. I am sending it JSON commands as given in one of the manual. All the commands are recognized by the board except for 1 - output_face_information. is it possible to share the command sequence so that i can do face recognition using this module? thanks in advance

The device Is as good as the software you write. You can port your trained models and work with micropython. Post your results

Hello. I got Sipeed MAIX Bit, and began to study this device. Learned to create your own objects, Sipeed MAIX Bit recognizes them very well. I also have a question: a = img.draw_rectangle (i.rect (), color = (128,0,0)) this line borders the face into a rectangle. How to get the coordinates (x and y) from this line so that later I can display it on the screen? Thanks.
I figured out this problem.
img.draw_string (60, 100, '% 0.0f'% i.x (), scale = 2)
print (i.x ())
This will display the X coordinate, just the same you need to do with Y.
Is there a reason the thumbs up and thumbs down buttons are disabled?

Edit again: I'm starting to think the down votes are Indigogo related. I'd personally prefer people leave the rating enabled and make a note about what's happening in the description.

Is the face detection using opencv? I have done previously face detection with raspberry pi 3 but even with the GPU-friendliest HAAR algorithm I didnt exceed 8-10 FPS
not bad?! it recognized faces, yes, but did it distinguish them? That's the only point of this board. Many boards can run edge detection algorithms and just detect boarder of faces... not bad indeed.........
Point of the board is that is incredibly cheap and you can run code pretty efficiently. Nice for embedded projects, I had fun with that
