Raven didn’t really explain the challenge very well and they are surprised by details that wouldn’t be surprising if the actually watched it before (the deflated balloons). They used to talk more about the show in their reviews but now they just stick to the fashion. It almost feels like it’s pre-taped. Like they were just given the stills of the outfits to critique and they taped it months ago and then all the runway scenes were edited in.
Holly Hunter That may be true, Holly - I know they once said they come in and tape X amount (I forgot how many) of episodes in one day. They can only do that if they get the looks they’re critiquing in advance of the episodes being televised. I also think they said they don’t get any info, just the photos to review. Still, they used to be so much more entertaining. I’ve watched the older ones several times. I wouldn’t bother watching any of the newer ones twice.

I think the ONLY reason Eureka wasn't in the bottom with Kameron was because her 2 looks had cohesion. You could easily tell they were twin looks. Because otherwise... that basic school girl uniform did not leave anyone gagging. She really sold that Halloween costume. Being this basic when you're so close to the crown is a bold move.
Asia had the best connection between the two looks and the best voiceover. If it was a fashion challenge then Aquaria should have won, but it was about the convection between looks and the storyline which didn’t make sense with Aquaria.

I feel like It’s producers’ fault. The queens clearly weren’t prepared for that challenge, so producers must’ve come up with the theme much later. That’s why 3 out of 5 contestants used their prehistoric runways, rather than wearing something more creative. But you know, Asia managed to saw another dress, so that wasn’t impossible.

The amount of views are irrelevant. They film multiple episodes in one day and Raja is already an established queen that doesn't have to answer to 12 year olds on the internet. Watch the video, leave a like and go.
Views are not irrelevant at all, art and performance careers are based on exposure. They also film drag race back to back intensely and many of the queens going on it are also already established (Mayhem for example). Drag is partly a visual art form and Raja prides herself on being an experimental, boundary pushing artist (and expects it of others). Maybe she's telling a story with her FPR outfits but its not reading to Benjamin clearly hence his comment. Thoughtful critique is important and valid - established artists being given likes no matter what they produce with no feedback? That's a recipe for terrible work.

I think Asia's North Korea dark look was honestly great. I love how her self look was reminiscent of how Asia is both a pageant queen who loves feminine styles and dance/ball gown looks was mixed with her looks of bight, bold and fun colour and design combinations. I thought it really did well in showing who she is as a drag queen. And I LOVED the idea with the balloon that North Korea held and let go along with the ones that sagged and blackened as she walked down. To me it represented how her dark thoughts almost swallow her up and take away her joyful and happy emotions. I also noticed that both of Asia's looks represented clown aspects, with the playful and childish orange, bunch of balloons held and big bow for herself, and the bald head, large black eyeliner and eyeshadow for her dark thoughts, representing Pennywise/IT. That's what I got from her. I think Raja's critic's for her darker thoughts were harsh about the bold head.

I think the ONLY reason Eureka wasn't in the bottom with Kameron was because her 2 looks had cohesion. You could easily tell they were twin looks. Because otherwise... that basic school girl uniform did not leave anyone gagging. She really sold that Halloween costume. Being this basic when you're so close to the crown is a bold move.

I feel like It’s producers’ fault. The queens clearly weren’t prepared for that challenge, so producers must’ve come up with the theme much later. That’s why 3 out of 5 contestants used their prehistoric runways, rather than wearing something more creative. But you know, Asia managed to saw another dress, so that wasn’t impossible.
Stop trying to make Eureka happen. It’s never going to happen. Her outfits were so BASIC in comparison to everyone else’s and she wore those damn boots again. STOPPPP.

The amount of views are irrelevant. They film multiple episodes in one day and Raja is already an established queen that doesn't have to answer to 12 year olds on the internet. Watch the video, leave a like and go.
Views are not irrelevant at all, art and performance careers are based on exposure. They also film drag race back to back intensely and many of the queens going on it are also already established (Mayhem for example).
Drag is partly a visual art form and Raja prides herself on being an experimental, boundary pushing artist (and expects it of others). Maybe she's telling a story with her FPR outfits but its not reading to Benjamin clearly hence his comment.
Thoughtful critique is important and valid - established artists being given likes no matter what they produce with no feedback? That's a recipe for terrible work.

I think Asia's North Korea dark look was honestly great. I love how her self look was reminiscent of how Asia is both a pageant queen who loves feminine styles and dance/ball gown looks was mixed with her looks of bight, bold and fun colour and design combinations. I thought it really did well in showing who she is as a drag queen. And I LOVED the idea with the balloon that North Korea held and let go along with the ones that sagged and blackened as she walked down. To me it represented how her dark thoughts almost swallow her up and take away her joyful and happy emotions. I also noticed that both of Asia's looks represented clown aspects, with the playful and childish orange, bunch of balloons held and big bow for herself, and the bald head, large black eyeliner and eyeshadow for her dark thoughts, representing Pennywise/IT. That's what I got from her. I think Raja's critic's for her darker thoughts were harsh about the bold head.
