- After hearing this band for the first time only a week before I filmed this reaction, I knew I had to dive in and check out more... And after week, they're already one of my favorite discoveries on this channel! Everything about this band is what I love about metal, and this song may have one of the biggest choruses I've ever heard! In this video we break down the band's gear, talk about audio production, and appreciate how the band flew across the ocean to make sure this music video looked the way it does.

Hey Tank. Glad you enjoyed this one. Doing a great job and great research. We have been watching your channel even before. Greetings from Germany 🤠
Oh wow! Thanks for stopping by to comment, and it just made my day knowing you've actually watched my channel before! Thank you for such great music, and I can't wait to keep discovering more!
@@TankTheTech See you hopefully touring in the US one day.
@@OrdenOgan That‘d be fantastic! Can’t wait!
So as a german metal enthusiast, I didnt even knew you were from german, even though I have some songs of you (including this one) in my playlists. Really awesome sound guys! I will look out for concerts of you ;)
See you at the Wacken Open Air 2022 my friends :-)
Orden Ogan is one of those bands which is *criminally* underrated and overlooked. From what I've seen of comments in their videos, people seem to unanimously agree that this band has done no wrong, and I 100% agree. When I listened to their single Heart of the Android, it was one of the only songs in a long time that made me audibly go "Ooh! Ooh, damn!"
just saw them live together with feuerschwanz in cologne, was glad some people sang along every word together with me but you definitely felt they were not the headliners that evening sadly, but still awesome
Watching this with my morning coffee. Going to work later will be like "I AM THE GUNMAN, I BRING SALVATION" 😁
Hahahahaha
The song "the things we believe in" is an absolute hymn of Orden Ogan. You could also check out "In the dawn of the A.I." a sci-fi-metal song or if you like pirate metal I would recommend "We are pirates!"
Great recommendations! 🙂
Yes, yes AND yes 👍
Waterloo is awesome as well
The Things We Believe In is the song that introduced me to Orden Ogan. I've been hooked ever since.
@@lab1042 Throw their recent "December" on to that pile and read the comment they pinned to that music video. That's damn spooky.
DUDE!!! The reactor nostalgia in me is FREAKIN OUT!!! Can't wait to enjoy!!!
The bearded master!!! Love your channel!
Yeah, a little behind on this one. Haha
Yes, I remember your reaction to this video! This was my first introduction to not only the band/ group, but your channel as well.
How far you’ve come! Keep up the awesome reactions! ❤️🤘🏻
Galactic Criminal. React to Orden Ogan - Dawn of the Ai. It's sick!
I KNEW IT! I called it: Tank will love Orden Ogan! Now contact Seb and ask him for an interview, you guys will have so much fun talking industry stuff!
Saw them in 2015 when they were opening for Powerwolf in Stuttgart.
The energy and crowd engagement they brought to the table was fantastic. "The Things We Believe In" was a banger live!
Love your ETF pp ! So much good memories
I was there as well, no clue who these guys were at the time but the sound and energy caught me right from the start. Great band in studio and live!
I just discovered Orden Ogan this year. they just slipped in randomly on a Spotify playlist and I was like “WHAT IS THIS?!” a rabbit hole and two hours later, was completely hooked!
I get what you mean when you say there are power metal influences, but they seemed to add more with the symphonic element.
Just…chef’s kiss…perfection!
Watching Tank fall hard for another awesome band never gets old!
it just got realeased but i think you will really love this cover song they did: FEUERSCHWANZ - Warriors Of The World United
"It's the damn horn section." Favorite line of the whole video. Very powerful song and masterfully written. Also one of my favs. 👍👍👍🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘
I was the someone, that requested the F.E.V.E.R. reaction. I feel like I should retire from requests since it was my first one and I should go out on the top. :D
In all seriousness... You can't go wrong with any song from their last 3 albums. Not to say, that the albums before weren't good (quite the opposite), but Ravenhead, Gunmen and Final Days are absolute masterpieces.
I've listened to a lot of Ravenhead already and it's so damn good. And thank you for finally getting me to check these guys out!
Orden Ogan is one of my favorite bands, but for me personally their second album 'Easton Hope' is the best. The later ones are more refined and have awesome songs on them, but EH just has a rawness that really gets me.
@@maikminuth1780 agree 100% :)
This is still my favorite song from Orden. It never gets old. I'm a huge fan of big open choruses with harmony. It's straight amazing and gives me chills every time
If you're into big choruses and harmony, I suggest you check out (on your own time)
Sonata Arctica - The Cage (lyric video)
Pyramaze - Disciples of the Sun (music vid)
Mors Principium Est - My Home My Grave (lyric vid. Insanely epic chorus, no harmony though)
"The things we believe in" is another song or theirs with a huge chorus. It's a great song.
I would say that most of their songs have a huge chorus.
@@HeavyMetalGamingHD oh shit blind guardian fan! bg and orden ogan are so good, i love their album easton hope a lot but its kind of underrated, very good bands both from my home region of northrhine westfalia which is awesome
"The Things We Believe In" drew my attention to Orden Ogan at the time. I still get goosebumps every time listening to the song. Again a very emotional reaction Tank, well done, as always.
That chorus hits different
One of my absolute favorite Orden Ogan songs. Their new album is great, too.
Always love my daily bit of Orden Ogan. Amazing band, unique sound, one of the few 'somehow power metal-ish' bands I still listen actively on a regular basis. The Final Days Vinyl slaps ass on my hifi set up, such a powerful production.
Always been irritated by some people claiming Orden Ogan as a Blind Guardian copy. Yes, both bands utilized choirs, big choruses and melodies to perfection, but they sound and feel very different to me. Speaking of Blind Guardian, they released their first new single since 2015 yesterday (in case you missed it...🤪).
New Amorphis song, too. And on monday, Feuerschwanz will open the gates for the Warriord of the World...
Edit: If you like big choruses of Orden Ogan, give 'Let the Fire rain' a listen, it's from this year aswell. ;)
I wouldn't say they're a copy of Blind Guardian in the slightest. I did, however, see one publication say that they're "the only legitimate successor to Blind Guardian", and that makes sense.
Think is has something to do with the resemblance Seeb's voice has with Hansi's on some records.
Take for example "The Things we believe in" and throw it into any newer Guardian album, few will notice a difference I would bet.
But I'm with you, Orden Ogan are great and their art deserves to be praised on its own without being called a copy.
@@TankTheTech Yeah, Legitemately I call them the modern day blind guardian, in terms of how consistent BG was back in the day with every release. Orden Ogan definitely has been a super consistent band since day one!
So glad you've made it to Orden Ogan! For me, they embody a lot of what I love about power metal - strong themes and stories (some of which shouldn't be taken too seriously) with absolutely soaring memorable choruses. Saw them live in London and it was one of the most fun nights of my life. Some of the half-time breakdowns in songs like FEVER and Gunman literally shook the room.
Some things you'll notice listening to lots of Orden Ogan's stuff and watching their videos from a long-time fan:
- Alister Vale (top hat, red scarf) is their mascot and appears on all their albums in some way or other.
- Orden Ogan is heavily inspired by Running Wild, to the point where they have a homage song 'We are Pirates' which features a solo by Majk Moti formerly of RW.
- The albums follow archetypal genre themes - wild west, dark fantasy, nuclear fallout etc
- They absolutely love 'blind' and 'deaf'. Seriously there's so many mentions of that in their songs and in a lot of their music videos they're portrayed as being blind
- They also love the imagery of covering their drum kits in various things in videos haha, whether it be dust, snow, mud, hell even paper shreddings.
As you mentioned, frontman Seeb is a talented and community driven dude. He mixes and masters a lot of Orden Ogan's stuff and works with a lot of other bands. Similar to Jari from Wintersun, Seeb recently made the decision to give up guitar duties in the band and focus entirely on vocals.
Enjoy the wonderful world of The Order of Fear, Orden Ogan!
Thank you so much for all of the fantastic info! Much appreciated!
You should definitely check out their song "The things we believe in"! It's one of their older songs, but still one of the best imo
As you are listening to a great german metalband and asking for other bands:
Grailknights just relesed a new song called TURBO BOOST.
They are a german band ( est. 2002), that is takin itself just as serious as one can be runing around in super hero costumes and defending the holy grail from the evil doctor skull.
wich is an actual character that apears on their liveshows and sometimes enters the crowd.
another character is the beer-mare "zapfi", that brings a 5l can of beer to the stage.
could be worth a shot.
Yes absolutly worth to Check out
Never heard of Orden Ogan before. I absolutely love this song. I am definitely going to check out more of their songs.
F.E.V.ER. and Gunman ORDEN OGAN, these are the 2 best songs I've ever heard in my life, and he's been alive for over 60 years. Listening to them gives me chills in my body. Greetings from Poland.
F.E.V.ER. i Gunman ORDEN OGAN, to 2 najlepsze utwory jakie słyszałem w życiu, a żyje ponad 60 lat. Słuchając je dostaję dreszczy ba ciele. Pozdrowienia z Polski.
I discovered Orden Ogan when "The Things we believe in" came out, almost 10 years ago, and I was 14 or 15 at that time.
Since then, they have been my absolute alltime-favourite - and although my taste in metal music, and my preferred genres have changed a lot over these last 10 years, Orden Ogan has always sticked with me, and I connect so much with their music. It's been heavily inspirational, I love their concepts and the worldbuilding they convey through their lyrics, artworks and videos...
For me, their second studio album "Easton Hope" will always remain one of my absolute favourites, one of the best albums, if not the best album, I have listened to.
They have improved and changed since then, for sure, but I feel like that album sets the founding stone for the Orden Ogan sound, and for all the world building and story telling. It's similarly orchestra-heavy as "Gunmen", and when you liked these songs, I'm sure you will fall in love with "Nobody Leaves" (sadly no music video exists to that song) from that album like I did.
It's wonderful to see you love them so much after hearing just a few songs, too!
This one doesn't have a video but the song "To the End" is one of my personal favorites from them
This album is so fucking good, dude! Fields of Sorrow, Come with me to the other side, and Finis Coronat Opus are such emotional songs. You will absolutely cry listen to them. This band is so underrated
Fields of Sorrow and Vampire in Ghost Town are the best songs on that album for me. Especially Vampire!
Dude, I'm german, I'm a metal guy, this song is in my playlist and until now I didn't even know that they were a german band^^
Tank out here droppin the knowledge.
They're the "Kings of the Chorus" according to my husband haha. Mystic Symphony is my favourite song!
Got goosebumps the hole reaction along
I rember seeing them live on Gunman tour. Epic as "sorry"
While i love all of Orden Ogan's albums, To the End is by far my favourite!
It's such a good Album! One of my favorite albums of the genre.
Tank, I love you man. You are so much fun to watch and so genuine, I will always be waiting for more.
Thank you!
ORDEN OGAN - Come With Me To The Other Side!
Heavy subject matter, haunting but beautiful. Strongly recommend it
I actually heard that song before this one, and it's absolutely fantastic.
I'm german and from northrhine-westfalia and i didnt know this band until now.. shame on me, lol. after watching your reaction i heard the track 10 times in a row :-D i need to hear more from this band
I know I’m two years late this. I found this because I watched the order of fear reaction. Thanks for showing them off! I’m absolutely loving them now. Also, I just noticed the Hebrew letters for the Tetragrammaton. That’s really cool! As always, great reaction!!
man sieht deine liebe für die musik und deine emotionen.
es macht unglaublich viel spaß, "mit dir zusammen" musik zu hören!
ich hole mir viel inspiration für neues, denn auch ich liebe musik, vor allem natürlich metal!
mach weiter so 🤘 🇺🇲🇩🇪
Ich danke dir sehr! Es macht Spaß, mit euch allen neue Musik zu entdecken!
Orden Ogan Gunman Release Tour in Leipzig, Germany was my first ever concert experience, this is very emotional for me
Oh jaaaa, Orden Ogan geht immer....😎🤘🇩🇪🤝
Tank... Thanks for the heads up!!! Freaking love thuis song!!!
Good Reaction video and as everytime so much Interesting Information about the Band :) Saw them 2 Years ago in the FortFun Saloon it was an Awesome concert. As a Recommendation you should check out the Song "Come with Me to the Other Side"
This entire reaction is how I felt listening to this song for the first time. Gunman was the song I first listened to by Orden Ogan, and it was MORE than enough to get me hooked
I've wanted for YEARS to make make a music video for this with The Mandalorian. I fucking love this song.
One of my favorite things is finding new music that just sounds great.
What a sound!! Let's gooooo 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Yeah this band is pretty freaking awesome I listen to them alot when I'm cruising around youtube.
I stopped listening to Orden Ogan for a while, not sure why, but I got back into their music lately.
I can highly recommend "The Things We Believe In" (the whole Album "To The End" is one of the best Power Metal albums I ever heard). "Let the Fire Rain" is another awesome song. If you want to go back to their old stuff, go "Easton Hope" or "We are pirates", or from their first Album "The lord of the flies" or "a friend of mine". Orden Ogan are just on another level.
Good to see them giving you so much joy! :) Maybe try to get them on an interview? Germany has many many more great artists even though they might be some smaller ones and even more undergroundy. Proud day to be german!
Already working on getting Seeb on here!
Never saw such an emotional reaction of a real Metal Head. Love this video. Great Job , fantastic Song
Fields of Sorrow is a great one too from the same album.
This video is old but it’s the first of yours I found. I love how into the music you get, and the post editing research/facts show dedication to quality original content. Subscribed and wishing you the best 🤘🏻
As a side note here (if no one have mentioned this) Orden Ogan's mascot's name is Alister Vale.
Their album Easton Hope is a masterpiece. It is one of the best metal albums of all time. I’d recommend starting there or starting with Ravenhead. Bot excellent banger albums.
Agreed 👍
My vote to Ravenhead also. The song itself is a masterpiece and my 5-year-old son wants to hear it every time we drive somewhere
These indoor shots with them back to back are so fucking epic as well
I don't know what I found better, your emotions or the song. Great Reaction^^
I just recently found out about Jordan Organ and am seriously bummed that I hadn't heard of them before. I'm an old metalhead still discovering new badassery like this.
Loved this Reaction , Great Video ! 🤘😁🤘
Oh damn, I haven't listened to Orden Ogan in a Long time. Always loved them. Looks like I need to go back down the rabbit hole again.
I am a huge Orden Ogan fan, and they even got my #3 Spotify artist. I highly recommend Alone In The Dark because not only is it an amazing song, it features the female vocalist from Brothers of Metal. So many great songs from them, if I were to leave with two more, it would be Come With Me To The Other Side and Fields of Sorrow.
Never seen a tank so happy 😂
Well, another band to be added to my playlist!!
Never listened to Orden Ogan |much but since they'll tour with Feuerschwanz next year. And I **REALLY** hope to go I'd better get to know them.
I just stopped by to check out hte band beacause I didnt know them. But holy s***, he IS the Gunman!!!
I'm german. Never heared of this band. Really liked it!
Fun story: many years ago, I had an online conversation with a guy from Illinois. Talking prog rock. He asked me if I knew "Vanden Plas". I only knew the british car brand. (Music was not exactly my favourite cup of tea.)
But they are from Germany.
Oh wow! That's wild. Haha
@@TankTheTech I learned about a german singer from Bethroars: Ralf Scheepers. Had never heard of them. Maybe you wanna listen to it and ask Lizzy Zharoff to do a 1st reaction? Or do it yourself?
ruclips.net/video/EZCHe3_y3AE/видео.html
Ralf Scheepers is also a vocal coach, himself.
(Maybe suggest it to her. Do a reaction. And hold it back until she did one ;-)
I only just discovered this band during the promotion of their latest release. I'm a big power metal fan, and I'd never heard of them. I've really enjoyed everything I've heard. This is just the best example of what this genre does great.
Orden Ogan are definitely so overlooked in power metal and its criminal when i saw them play at London they had Rhapsody of Fire as special guest people were leaving once Rhapsody were done and its massive shame because they fantastic band they been so consistent with their albums
Great stuff Tank! And I totally agree, music has the power to hit you right in the soul. I shared your emotional experiences while listening to this one.
You should give a try to "Ashen Rain"!
The emotional part reminds me to listen to thier song Fields of Sorrow
Yess. What afantastic band Orden Ogan are. Rabbit hole….
I've been waiting and hoping for this reaction ever since you found out how big the German audience was. And I'm glad you love them so much. Great reaction Tank!
Great reaction, man. Thanks for introducing me to this band. I am from Germany, but until now have not heard from them.
I assume it is getting pretty crowded in your list of favorite bands, with Nightwhish, Wintersun, Feuerschwanz and more all up there :-)
So many favorite bands right now that I can't just pick one, and they're all from Europe. Haha
This is why I love your Reactions. You are not just sitting there watching at the screen... you are actually reacting. Love it every time.
Many Küsschen from Germany
Brother you got me turned on to this band now I'm going down the rabbit hole... definitely would like to see you react to "Let The Fire Rain", another MASSIVE chorus 💪💪💪
Can't let you die alone on the hill of that chorus. One of my top 5 faves of any genre of music. It is huge like you say and you throw in the very strong lyrics and you get to epic status.
Was hooked on this band after hearing FEVER! Love the dark vibes they mix in with the power metal elements really makes them rise in and around that genre to me. One of my all time fave bands for sure. The new album is really good as well outside of the singles which are great Inferno and Let the Fire Rain are fantastic. For older stuff Ravenhead, Things we believe in, and We are Pirates are great!
Tank's reaction to hearing this song for the first time was ALL of our reactions to hearing this song for the first time.
Thanks tank now i have this stuck in my head. And i am more than ok with that.
I never tire seeing Tank haveing some tears down his cheek is some of his metal reactions ahah. Thats what good music can bring to your soul...especially metal. This band is insane...so much respect for these guys.
I can not believe i saw this before you, although I do need to check out more of their stuff.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Orden Ogan been a while i heard from them ...
You guys are making my day - Elizabeth doing Feuerschwanz covering Manowars „Warriors of the World United“ and you Orden Ogans „Gunman“! Thank you very much!!!
The song brings back such good memories of seeing them live in 2017 together with Rhapsody of Fire and Unleash the Archers.
Amazing reaction! I also really love reading your Tank Facts.
Thanks!
Yeeees finally! I love this band SO MUCH. Glad you're getting to enjoy them too.
Just recently started listening to there music myself. And In the Dawn of the AI is another Great Song by them.
Also one of your favorites over at napalm-records just did another huge collab with three other singers
In my opinion the best Orden Ogan song :D
Gunman was my favorite until I heard Dawn Of The A.I
More please of this great band!!
That was great! ••• 108K - WOW! Do you ever look at an audience shot -- like Nightwish at Wacken 2013 -- and think that you have 26,000 more watching you than are in that sea of people? And SO many more are watching without subscribing. Amazing! Congratulations!
I've literally never thought of that until you just brought it up, and it kind of blows my mind. Haha
instantly added to my playlist. keep doin what youre doin bro love the vids. Couldn't help but notice the Eluveitie playing in the back ground of your intro. thats my wifes favourite band.
Eluveitie is one of my favorites as well!
love watching these, great work
Orden Ogan ! Yaasssss ! No matter what your favourite genre is, this is METAL at its very finest. Imo anyway. Epic song, epic video, epic storytelling ! Cheers Tank.
This kind of "new" discoveries are salt of this channel. Totally new band for me
Dude!! I’ve been listening to Orden Ogan for about 5 years now. Gunmen gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it and it’s usually daily. One of my favorites from them is “We Are Pirates.” Their new album “Final Days” is absolutely EPIC!! Can’t wait to see your reactions to those songs!
That's the Monument Valley in Utah yes. I have been there. Amazing Indian People live there...being there made me feel so small and humble.
Thank you for this Amazing reaction 🤘🏽🔥
Don't think I've ever been more exited about a reaction video than this one/your F.E.V.E.R. reaction! I think it's been a few months since I first started recommending you should listen to them, and it turns out I was right in thinking you'd like it haha
Thank you Tank. New, wonderful discoveries are always welcome.
Nice! Finally you discovered Orden Ogan.
Saw this Band several times live. They are nuts on Stage and I love it. make sure to watch FEVER live in Wacken, if not for reaction, but just look at the mass of people despite it raining cats and dogs the whole concert. I was there with my wife, too. One of my best memories :D
For my personal recommendations:
- We're Pirates! (really fun Video and tribute song to Running Wild, another German Band you might wanna check out ;)
- Dawn of the AI (Metal in-your-face soundtrack to the end of mankind through AI)
- The things we believe in (a 'no concert of O.O. without this song' title)
- Come with me to the Other Side (also really big song)
(other ones I personally like the most, our preferences in Metal are very similarly)
- Ravenhead
- Here at the end of the world (with Chris Boltendahl [Gravedigger])
- Sorrow is your Tale (with Joacim Cans [Hammerfall])
- To the End (love this one to bits, big chorus, fast forward in-.your-face verses)
- Nobody Leaves
- Fields of Sorrow
- Vampire in Ghost Town
....what the heck, just let it roll and enjoy :)
This list ist purely personal and subjective =P
I still remember listening to this band for the first time a couple years back. Completely blown away. As many others have mentioned, The Things We Believe In is amazing! It’s a must!
Yes, finally! I've been recommending this band many months ago. :D
I'm on the edge of my seat for the evening to watch this.
We've got soo many good metal bands in Germany ♥I saw Orden Ogan live about 7-8 years ago as support for either Sabaton or HammerFall.
You should check out the German band RAGE (founded in 1984). But I'm sorry, I can't recommand any specific songs because too many good songs :D
But "Emtpy Hollow" live with the Lingua Mortis Orchestra is something great. I've seen them live so many times from very small clubs to very big stages and even with the LM-Orchestra!
Edit: Rage - Higher Than The Sky LIVE (uploader Joseph Curwen). That's their "Highway To Hell" and the atmosphere of this club-show (dvd release) was amazing. With this song the crowd always goes kinda "Blind Guardian - Valhalla"-crazy ;)
I love Orden Ogan, thank you so much that you reacted there Song.
