I've had mine for a few months now and love it! The fact that you can program your own routines is fantastic. Takes a little getting used to it, but well worth the time. Love it! Love it!
Think this would be a good addition to Steampunk Parlour. A bit of brass and there you go. Thanks you always bring out the coolest toys. (Toy: tool the makes you smile)
Knowing this trick from others in the past decades. I like it better with incandescent bulbs, It feels less electronic. This version, makes it feel like it could be Bluetooth when its not.
I never really understood this trick. Technology works best in magic when its hidden. While the spectators might not understand exactly how this works they will just dismiss this as clever tech, which is what it is. Is that magic? Not in the same way as making a coin vanish imho.
When correctly built and when understood by someone with basic jr high circuits, it is a knock out. When built correctly, it simply shows all wires with zero technology and can be inspected. This is when it becomes impossible.
I see this as a good conversation piece. Especially for hobbyists in social settings, it can be hard to get the ball rolling. I've found it's better to not start with something like a card trick, and show something that's maybe not "magic", but kind of neat that people will talk about. I think this is a great way to get attention, give people a slight chuckle, and then depending on their reactions go into your regular routine.
Not my cup of tea but holy crap you get an entire routine ready to go. That's awesome. I'm sure this will be a huge hit for many just not for me. But thanks for another unbiased magic review!!!!!
great review David on a very unique item. #ekat recently did a review (with performance) … a lot of positives about this one … have to consider the $300 cost for 8 tricks … thanks 👍🏻
Wait...this is ONLY a magic review channel?!? I've been waiting over a year for David to get naked & wrestle a wild animal...is this....is this not that? I'll keep watching & waiting I guess
The price is super expensive for less than $20 of hardware, HOWEVER, it totally makes sense. Good tricks are set at high prices to stop laymen from buying it and keeping it just for serious magicians.
Uh, I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or is this not an obvious one? It seems both underwhelming and very apparent how it works (though there are a couple options).
I mean sure, if you wanna say "technology" is how it works - but you watch the blue toggle light up the blue bulb across from it - then move the bulb to another slot and the toggle STILL lights up the blue bulb or you can move the colored plastic sleeve from the toggle and move that to a different toggle and it still lights up the blue bulb??? I own it and it's still magic to me
I think it’s overpriced by quite a wide margin. …And I’ve got no problem spending lots of money on good magic, or to keep a particularly clever trick from being too widely available. But magic should be a surprise. A mystery. A complete train wreck of one’s perception of reality. In my personal option, this isn’t magic. It’s a tech trick. Maybe me having a 35 year career in I.T. has jaded me. But if someone showed me any or all of the effects described, I’d be unimpressed and bored. That’s a lot of money for how little it cost to construct. And there’s an additional, protective piece you can purchase separately? No…they should’ve included that. All of this is just my opinion, of course; but I don’t consider that ‘magic’ and it’s, (again in my option), is probably at least twice the price it should be for a simple tech curiosity. As always, though, you’ve provided yet another fair, thorough and helpful review.

yes this would be an amazing steam punk peice
Have had the mini-Wellington board forever. Super fun but as all things ya’ gotta’ present it right. Worth the $$$ if you bring it to life.
nice !!!

Agree, always thought the same thing selling the Traffic Light stage version of this in the shop like 20 years ago.

Not a magic trick
But surely something which can be fascinating to kids

I'm just amazed you can recharge button cell batteries
that's what I thought to !!!

Nice effect but the cost is way to much.👍👍
I’m just like you, I’ve never heard of this trick, either.
puzzle or trick?????
or maybe all tricks are actually puzzles
