It’s always nice to meet another meter fan and collector. A year ago, my 10 year old grandson asked for a multimeter for his birthday. I got him a Fluke 101.
Nice meter, you will be very happy with it for quite a while. We have a Fluke 75 (an ancestor of your 179) that my father got in the mid 1980's. It is still getting used in our shop and going strong. Fluke's handhelds are excellent, every place I have worked in my career have had at least one Fluke handheld DMM, usually a Fluke 87.
According to www.tequipment.net/Fluke-170-Series-Multimeter-Comparison-Fluke-175-vs-177-vs-179/ the 175 has no backlight, can't measure temperature and is slightly less accurate on DC voltage.
Fluki są fajne ale strasznie drogie za podstawowego fluka można kupić fajnego brymena. Witam. Musiała rozebrać i fajna " kosa " do otwierania paczek. Ja standardowo tapeciak.
@@KeritechElectronics 0.7kzł no aż zerknąłem na brymeny no trza by wydać 860zł widziałem te EEVły ale chyba płaci się za logo ekstra. Niech służy to toporne mierniki zabezpieczone dobrze. Na allegro jest fluk 83 III za 7stów. Bezpieczniki to ponad 100zł nawet :) ja juz upaliłem 400mA w obwodzie 600mA w brymenie ... boli zakup nowego topika.

Check out my video on some of my analog meters here: ruclips.net/video/tAODkKSiWYg/видео.html
Congrats on the new kit! Can never have enough multimeters. :)
Got a bunch of analog ones, that's how I learned electronics. DMMs are way more practical though.
A Fluke multimeter is a joy forever ! Mine is over thirty years old and still alive and kicking. ❤ it !
Nice! What model do you have?

Ano, zgadza się - ten kosztował mnie 7 stów z drugiej ręki. Nowy - ponad dwa kafle... a Brymeny, owszem, rozważałam - zwłaszcza w wydaniu EEVBlog :)

I see new 179s for $300 new shipped here in the US. I got mine for free from someone at work who didn’t want his anymore.
