Before I owned a bearing press tool I would place wooden blocks on the top and bottom of the headset, and i would use a clamp to apply pressure along with a few strikes from a rubber mallet to get the cups to seat proper. Thank you for the video you did a good job.
At one time, that was true pre. the 1x revolution. Do remember, you have multiple repeating gear ratios in 2x and Esp. 3x drivetrains and a 1x with a wide-range cluster eliminates those repeaters. My '18 Surly Karate Monkey has a 1 x 10 Advent X 10 spd. drivetrain (10-48t cluster plus Wolf Tooth 28t elliptical front chainring) that handles regular off-road duties quite well and will more than probably be as competent in it's role for Bikepacking. If i need anything lower gearing-wise, I'll shift to my eleventh gear; hike-a-bike mode...
Converted my XC to touring. Installed 35 degree backsweep Velo Orange Crazy bar, have 50mm suspension seat post By.Schulz and really good SQLabs saddle. Less-to-No pain after every long rides.
when people actually do real touring they want more gear options rather than less. I actually recommend a front triple if you are serious about touring. I have personally seen people that were miserable on tours when they were under-geared.
One thing to note: when converting an old 2by crank to a 1by, make sure you use single speed chainring bolts. I dont know much about mtb cranks but on road cranks and fixed gear cranks this is the case.
IMO. 2x chainring is the best to have especially ultra long rides (distance of 40 km to more than a 100 km) 2x just have a lot of gear ratio combination that helps you conquer any types of inclination or terrain and just a couple of additional grams of weight will surely compensate from the several gear ratios that a 2x can offer.
Mine too, 1x is very convenient , is nice to maintain, but 2x gives you more combination of gear ratios. And chain life and cassette is longer beceause of less chain crossing.
have you experienced about Jones H-Bar? if that what is most comfortable handlebar in your case? I'm using Jone H-Bar right now but I'm curious about that handlebar anyway thumbs up from south korea
Great job, Sir! I'll just ask you if how can I avoid to loose my crank cap/pre-load cap in hollowtech bottom bracket and how can I also avoid loose crank arm? Should I tight the two pinch bolts of the crank arm a little bit more?
Hi I've just started looking at your videos, there is lots of thing I really like about it and I have a few question about your bike stand do you have a link to where to buy?
Yea agree, 1x makes no sense for a touring bike…. i t’s just the fashion nowadays…. but actually makes sense only for hardcore MTB’s where there is a risk of a front chain drop…. for road, gravel, touring etc in my opinion it’s less functional, and more expensive…
hello boss,, i found you on the rating section sa shopee, we bought denham bar on the same seller, mejo mababa yun left side ng handlebar ko, im wondering if ganun din sayo and anyone here have a solution how to straighten aluminum handle bar, tnx boss, more power☺️☺️

yes that's an innovative way to do it! right on!
BMX style!
GREAT!
It was great to be able to listen to you, to know better what you were doing.
Regards from Spain.
Thank you brother!
Nicely done, great build! I love the brown! I personally would've gone from a 1x to a 2x haha
You and me both!
2 or 3x is the way to go for touring imo. Good vid btw 👌

Parang gusto ko na rin ang ganitong handle bar ah...mtb convert to touring bike...thanks for the tips idol
I like that handlebar but also i like this transformation of this bike🚴♂️🚲💯
Converted my XC to touring. Installed 35 degree backsweep Velo Orange Crazy bar, have 50mm suspension seat post By.Schulz and really good SQLabs saddle. Less-to-No pain after every long rides.
I actually like both configurations. Nice build eitherway.

Very nice video showing the work. Love the Koga Denham bar 👍🏻
Great job as always. Bravo from Greece.
Thank you very much!

Thank you po ulit sa bike😁😇

Yes it is true, and 1x bolts are too hard to find, some are out of stock lol
What is the difference?
Ang ganda sir 🤩

Yes, and 2X big ring allows for higher top gear ratio which will help you conserve energy on long, flat roads.
I have tried 1x and I don't like it
Mine too, 1x is very convenient , is nice to maintain, but 2x gives you more combination of gear ratios. And chain life and cassette is longer beceause of less chain crossing.
Another great video sir. Stay safe always!
Thank you!
Great job friends..ilike your upgrade....for reverensi..
prone s kabyos to pg nsa 2nd or 3rd small cogs cgurado. try mo mgpalit ng bigger jockey wheels.

Is the bike not better for MTB ?
It's good but MTB setups are heave due to suspension forks
In this channel you first time your voice reveal
tamang pampatulog lods
Nice vlog...new subscriber here..
Panalo nanaman sir.
for touring just better 2 stars or even 3
Thanks!
@@CoggieBike ))
Yown may bago upload.
Importante ung RD
Hi I've just started looking at your videos, there is lots of thing I really like about it and I have a few question about your bike stand do you have a link to where to buy?
didn't you enjoy it more before? now with 9 speeds and such range must be hard to find the correct gear
It's actually not that hard and less complex
Hello there ! Can you please send me the link of the bike rack that you installed here? TIA
How did you bolt that carrier on the left side, considering the brake caliper?
The caliper is on the chain stay
@@CoggieBike oh i see.. thanks for the info 👍🏼
sir what is the name and, where did you buy your saddle?
san po kayo naka bili nung seat clamp na my thread? thankyou
New subscriber here po,, ask ko lang po if saan po nabili yung rear rack carrier and will it fit a 29er wheelset? Thanks in advance.
Tnx and ride safe..
For touring, why go to a 1X? Would the added flexibility of a 2X not be more useful for touring?

this is enough for our country - roads here are relatively flats, (except Mt. Province)

Any chain drop when back pedalling? And where did you get your rack? Thanks
Nice build po sir! Ask ko lng po, san po kya links nung handle grip na cannondale😅thanks po keep up your good work sir!
