Thank you so much for including my design, Airbender, in your video and, of course, for your amazing tips for it! ❤ I'll definitely recommend this video to knitters who plan to make it!
Hi …..Happy New Year , your shawl is beautiful.. Missed last few podcasts, it was hard to keep up during vlogmas. Yes, I do know those invaluable tips for being organised. Yet ! Here I sit watching your podcast unknitting lace with beads 🤪🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ . Thanks for sharing , best wishes from Australia.
Oh no! How frustrating! I hope I kept you company for a little while anyway :) Happy New Year to you too and thank you for spending time with me again 🥰
Thank you and that is a great suggestion! I am making a bundle on Ravelry of everyone's suggestions because there are too many beautiful patterns to choose from! Thank you so much for spending time with me 🥰
It is gorgeous, isn't it and the designer has done a wonderful job of writing the pattern :) Good luck with the Goran! Thank you so much for spending time with me 🥰
Thank you for the lace knitting tips , even though I’ve been knitting a long time lace is always daunting and needs so much concentration ! Like the tip on where to leave your washi tape 👏 I am knitting a Zipper sweater for my husband again as swatches definitely lie 😂 Wishing you a Happy New Year Kathryn
Thank you for another enjoyable episode. Great projects and wonderful woolly goodness! I am working on an Artus, I wanted to finish it before leaving for Kuwait, but I will have to finish it there… the last rows are sooo long 😂 Hopefully the weather will still be cold-ish there, so I will have time to wear it! Lots of love. Ari xx
I love the Artus pattern so much! It is so beautiful :) Have a wonderful time in Kuwait :) Having in lived in a few hot climates, I find that knitwear is very useful indoors, especially in cinemas, the whole year round because the aircon is normally set to arctic 😂 Thank you for spending time with me 🥰
Your shawl is soooo gorgeous 💜. The perfect combination of a beautiful pattern and the best yarn you could use for it 👌. Thank you for your tips, I am an experienced knitter but love to hear from other knitters their tips and tricks. I love testknitting, but I absolutely understand you prefere to have no deadlines.
The mug is so beautiful. You are so right, in the UK they have such beautiful mugs, I always see them in UK knitters video's. When we visit the UK in 2020 I bought 3 mugs (two of them are Beatrix Potter mugs) and I still love them so much. The shawl is amazing !!! What about the Garden cardigan by Ankestrick ? I'm glad it worked out with the jumper. I just finished a pair of socks for my daughter and already have a new pair on the needle.
How lovely! If you haven't been, I definitely recommend visiting Beatrix Potter's house in the Lake District; the area is really beautiful especially if you like being in nature :) Another viewer also suggested the Garden cardigan and it is lovely! I have made a bundle of potential "Long Cardi" patterns on Ravelry for anyone who might find it useful :) Happy sock knitting and thank you for spending time with me again 🥰
Thank you so much for this nice video. Your projects are so beautyful. The yarn is so matching. I am very happy to follow you and it is a very cosy time with you.😊
Wow, amazing shawl! I'm just finishing up my cozy knitter advent socks and I totally stole your mohair addition idea. I love them. I did mine toe up and am on the last 2 stripes, though I've gone beyond the 24 to get the length I want. Looking forward to your next cast ons.
Haha, hyacinth boucle (after Hyacinth Bucket?). I saw your gorgeous photos on Instagram for the shawl. Simply stunning! Working on a Tin Can Knits vest since that’s what I need in my wardrobe. Thanks for sharing!
Yep it's a Keeping Up Appearances reference lol :) I do like Tin Can Knits patterns; I loved making the Flax for my partner. Thank you for your kind message and thank you for spending time with me again 🥰
Your shawl is stunning! For Nutiden held double cardigan suggestions, the Timepiece Cardigan and TULC by Ailbiona McLochlainn, the Field Day Jacket by Ozetta, Bonnie by Orlane Sucche, Good Grandpa Cardigan by Caidree and Kallias by Isabell Kraemer are good candidates as they fall between the 16-18s gauge which Nutiden held double tends to fall into (depending on what needle size you use and how tight you knit).
Thanks for sharing!! That is so helpful and I will add those patterns to the "Long Cardi" bundle I have put together on Ravelry. Thank you for spending time with me 🥰
Your shawl is lovely, I am working on the Bookclub cardigan, I have joined the body and one row took me exactly the length of your podcast. It is summer here in Australia and hoping to have it finished for midyear for the few weeks of winter it is cold enough to wear it.
Wonderful! I just had a look at the Siri pattern and it looks so squishy :) It will be lovely when you have finished. Thank you for spending time with me 🥰
Lovely episode, really enjoyed it❤ I’m working on the Ingrid sweater ( taking a break from the twisted rib on the turtle dove ll. ) Got vanilla socks on the go, for easy stockinette …… won’t mention the wips in time out😆
It is best not to mention the wips in time out, I have a couple of those too 😂 Your comment made me realise I don't have any socks on my needles! I will have to cast some on :) Thank you for spending time with me 🥰
The airbender shawl is so lovely! I've just made two garter shawls and have an in-the-round stocking stitch tee going, and I'm really craving some juicy lace - I was thinking Liquid Geography by Mary-Anne Mace, but maybe I can wait a little while? 🤔
Lovely podcast episode, as usual Catherine. I am working on the Peperomia by Wool & Pine, using my advent from a local Australian dyer. I am between sizes and off guage, but happy I chose the Isager Sock Yarn as my background colour, even though it is thinner, as it has some grip for the colourwork. I am at the under bust on the body and have started modifying for my shape, time to use knit math !
Good luck! I love it that we can modify our clothes to be perfect for us :) Your project sounds lovely and I can imagine using an advent for that colourwork is beautiful! Are you striping or grading? Thank you for spending time with me 🥰
Hello Kathryn, Congratulation on your beautiful shawl! I noticed that there is a label in your partner's sweater and I was wondering what it says and where you got it? Right now all I do to mark the back from the front of my garments is leaving a bulb stitch marker in 😅. I am working on my first knitted cardigan, just finished the second sleeve while watching your episode, it is the Rebel from ANKESTRiCK, too thick though for your yarn. Still need to add a little lenght and I will be able to wear it! 😄 have a good week!
Aww thank you :) It says "Made by Moomeeno" and my partner ordered a pack years ago for me from a company in the Netherlands but they deliver worldwide (www.dutchlabelshop.com/en_uk/). The name kind of started as a cutesy joke but it stuck 😂 Thank you for spending time with me 🥰
Thank you. And happy you are better. There's been some nasty colds going around here where I live. I working on the Felix cards. Have you seen Gudrun J Reggies Cardi? I think it's over sized for what you want. ttfn
The Reggies cardi is such a good shout and I have that book! As soon as I read your comment I had a look and it really might be what I am looking for. Thank you and thank you for spending time with me again 🥰
Lovely! Do you mean the pattern from Maria Isaeva? That looks like a lovely shape :) I have added that pattern to the "long cardis" bundle I have put together on Ravelry but let me know if you meant a different pattern :) Thank you for spending time with me 🥰
@ yes, that is the one. Also, when I did the button band I used a method where you pick up and work one stitch into the button band at a time instead of picking up all the stitches around and then working the band into them.. I learned about it from a podcast by AKA Nora Knits. She made a Sand Cardigan also and her’s was down to her ankles!
Love your podcast, so much fun watching. I've always wanted to knit the Growing cardigan with nutiden yarn, maybe someday. You might want to check out the pattern on ravelry.
Oh that is such a good idea! It is a beautiful cardi and I am making a new "long cardis" bundle on Ravelry because people are suggesting some lovely options.Thank you for spending time with me 🥰
Hi catherine, that is a beautiful shawl, and i really love the shocking pink hat! I was wandering , couldnt you just pull the yarn for the lifeline trough the little hole in your cord? That way you would pull the life line trough the stitches anyway… greetings from the netherlands, claudia.
Yes, the hole in the cable is perfect for doing that, I just prefer to use a darning needle even though it takes longer. Illogical, I know but what can I say :) Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 🥰
Great suggestions! I am making a bundle of everyone's ideas on Ravelry. I particularly liked the Garden cardi and it would be easy to lengthen :) Thank you so much for spending time with me 🥰
I learn so much from you, thank you. I have a question regarding nutiden. I have some, but have never worked with it before and don't know how far it will go. I have 300 bag of one color and two 300 bags of a second. I will use them separately. I am about your size. Can I get a whole sweater held double of the 600 g color? and will the 300 g bag get me 1/2 a sweater held double. I would use another unspun as the second half of the sweater. Also what if I held the 300 g with a mohair could I expect to get a sweater from that. I am sorry for all the what if's but don't want to start a sweater if I wouldn't have enough to finish it. And I am talking a simple sweater not oversize, nor too long. thanks for any help you can give.
No problem! Depending on the design, I can get a sweater out of 250-300g held single with mohair, or 500g held double. My Magnolia Bloom only used about 220g but it is very cropped. I have seen a lot of people mixing and matching with other unspun too and it seems to work well and is often seemingly unoticable. I hope that helps :) Thank you for spending time with me 🥰
Wow, your shawl is beautiful!! Thanks for the great tips on how to approach a complex knit!
You are so welcome! Thank you for spending time with me 🥰
That shawl!!! Great podcast as they always are. Thanks for taking the time to share your knitting exploration with us all.
It is a beautiful pattern and I really recommend it :) Thank you for spending time with me 🥰

Love the throw on the back of your sofa! The Rebel Cardigan is worth a quick look.
Thank you and that is a great suggestion! I am making a bundle on Ravelry of everyone's suggestions because there are too many beautiful patterns to choose from! Thank you so much for spending time with me 🥰
The Airbender is fabulous! Well done. I’m knitting a Goran Sweater for my brother at the moment
It is gorgeous, isn't it and the designer has done a wonderful job of writing the pattern :) Good luck with the Goran! Thank you so much for spending time with me 🥰

That is wonderful! Mohair in socks is so good :) Mine were longer than 24 stripes too, 26 I think? Thank you for spending time with me 🥰
Haha, hyacinth boucle (after Hyacinth Bucket?). I saw your gorgeous photos on Instagram for the shawl. Simply stunning! Working on a Tin Can Knits vest since that’s what I need in my wardrobe. Thanks for sharing!

That pink is delicious! Even though I am not at all pink girl, now you made me double think if I would actually like one on my head too...
Do it!!! Neon doesn't count as normal pink ;) Thank you for spending time with me again 🥰
What a stunning shawl, wow! Thanks for the tips, I’ve certainly learnt something new, thank you

Just finished the siri cardigan with 2 strands of woolyknit cones .thank you for reminding me about life lines ,i have started the Billie sweater ❤

You’re matching the blanket on your sofa. Always enjoy your podcasts
You are right 😂 I will have to make a blanket for every outfit 😋 Thank you for spending time with me 🥰

@madebymoomeeno it's is a gradient inspiration theme is the Aurora, so started with fluoro yellow and working into blues 😁
