Audience did not know a fugue follows? Or loves the prelude so much they applaud? Wonderful applause after.
They thought he was doing the Fantasy alone as an encore. That crowd was knowledgeable and were there because of him. The way they cheered afterwards reminded me of audience at Virgil Fox concerts
German greatness. Next to Straube, the greatest organist ever! Contemporary organists are largely a joke comparatively.
