If you've got the surface area, and a cheap racking solution the cheaper options are the clear winner IMO. On a side note I think I have a spot to do the ridge ballast idea with the solyndras on my pool house.
Thanks for an informative video! I was definitely curious how those older DelSolar 230 watt panels would fare vs. your other panels, as I've been buying them piecemeal recently. Solyndra performed better than I expected. I think I'll be picking up another 2x 230W panels soon to make my current 6 panel (3s2p) array into an 8 panel array (4s2p) bringing it to 148.8Voc. Might need some more MC4 connectors again and more wire. I'm still building out my system, but one string (3x 230W panels) I was able to test earlier today netted me a bit better efficiency than in you testing at 501 watts on the Bluetti AC200MAX making it about 72.6% efficient. I'm going to be testing more panels in a 3s2p setup for 111.6V and later 4s2p with various loads.
Interesting comparisons. I'm shocked at the DelSolar panels output given their age. In my opinion, the DelSolar panels win as far as cost. The wow factor goes to the Solyndra panels plus they also have decent output for the price. If you have space constraints and room for only 4 to 6 panels I'd say go with the Jinko panels. It's all dependent on the user's needs.
you're of my main sources of solar videos. great content as always

Man I've been putting mc4 connectors on wrong!! You knocked that connector on there super quick!
I believe that Solyndra recommends that their collectors be mounted about a foot ave a reflective surface to optimize light exposure of tubes.
But like you said now you have to measure which one gets the most kilowatt hours in a day.
Your links not working
Hey! Awesome on the Solyndra test! Will those work if they are hooked into controllers for a Conext XW Pro 6.8kW 120/240 Volt Inverter 48V Charger?
Don’t see why not. I’ve seen some manuals call out specific instructions for CIGS panels like this. I think it was about grounding.

Are you the guy that I met at the shop with the electric bike for sale?
@@JM-yx1lm no, that was probably someone else :)

Yep, I love having a variety of panels since it just depends on the needs/scenario/funds!
