    Great video , I’m new to your channel and will be visiting chisinau September and so excited , we gave up on the so called media places Spain France Italy New York etc etc as we were bored , so now been to Serbia kosovo Poland Lithuania Latvia Ukraine north Macedonia. It’s been the best decision we ever made as it’s a big world out there

      Great to hear, hope you enjoy Chisinau as much as I did. There’s quite a few on your list I haven’t made yet! Just back from Antarctica though, so video coming relatively soon on that. Enjoy all your travels!

    Great vid! I second the notion that you will be tired when leaving - the country is a great place to visit!

    Nobody seems to have done a video about how cheap it is to live there in that city. Why?

    • @BarryKenny

      @@MickeyMishra great point, it really is amazingly cheap! I tell everyone I know it’s the cheapest place in Europe, I think my total spending money for two weeks was €550, eating out all the time!

    Is it possible to get around if you only speak English? I am going to Bucharest next week, and was thinking of spending a couple of days there.
    I wanted to go to Transnistria, but I don't think it's appropriate in the current situation.

    • @BarryKenny
      @BarryKenny  2 года назад +1

      Yes, it’s manageable - there are more places than you’d usually find where people don’t speak English (yes, non-English speakers, I know we generally have it easy!!) but English language menus were typically available anyway. If you only have a couple of days, Chisinau will easily take up your time , it would be hard to fit in Transnistrja too.

      @@BarryKenny i have no set timetable, so I could spend one day or several days there. Although I have always wanted to go to Transnistria. It is the support they give to Russia that makes me feel it wouldn't be a appropriate visit.

      Ultimately I didn’t go through a combination of lack of time, the charity v much discouraging it, and lack of consular support (Ireland’s embassy were very clear: you’re on your own if you go).

      Hi Paul, I would have liked to have seen more of Moldova, including Comrat, but most of my time was spent working! I do hope to visit again soon.

      Yes, I thought so, and plenty I didn’t get to do esp if you wanted to travel a bit more outside the city. Best value destination I’ve been to in years too.
