HAUNTED Llancaiach Fawr - Part 2 | What were they Trying to Keep Out!

  • Haunted Llancaiach Fawr Manor is a beautiful old building that dates back to the 1500s. There is so much history, including the King of England staying on a short visit. However, there appears to be a darker side as the house is full of protection marks, demon nets, burn marks to ward off demons and witches, and even protection bags found in chimneys. Was this just superstition because of the witch trials and the plague... or was there something darker they were scared of? Kag and I went to find out.

We are only sharing some curious moments during this investigation with any of our followers who may be interested. It should be remembered that some of what we experience at these locations may also have a natural explanation. As we can't prove that ghosts exist and belief will only come down to your personal experience, we present our videos as entertainment. Whether it is supernatural or natural... we will leave it up to you to decide and make of it all what you will 😊

    Interesting place.
    That 'knocking' in the attic, on the evp recorder, might be the wind (you said it was windy) rattling something elsewhere that the sensitive mic picked up?
    Good work 👍🌟

    • @haunted-horizons
      @haunted-horizons  5 месяцев назад +3

      I always say anything we catch may also have a natural explanation, it was just we didn't find it at the time, so I can't say for definite it wasn't 😊 The little voice recorder isn't that sensitive and many times misses noises that we hear, or the video microphone captures. The other odd thing is, I always tag noises... stomachs, movement in our sessions, and even windows rattling in wind. Strangely I didn't tag anything for these sounds... maybe it was under my hearing range, or my nervousness was getting the better of me, who knows 🤔😂 Glad you enjoyed xx

    With each replay of the knocking, goosebumps all over my body kept renewing themselves wave after wave from head to toe. I have never felt so uneasy before.
    Then to really make me shiver the (idk what to call it…) wailing/screeching that follows right after, made my stomach flip.

      This place was a total suprise. We booked it as a fill-in on the way to Ireland, and was blown away by the history and beauty of it. It has fast become one of my favourite places to investigate. And we loved Arnie. He had never investigated before, and was only going to spend a short time with us and then go off for a cup of tea. He ended up so fascinated, that he stayed and had fun with us the whole night lol. Hopefully, we get back there in the day and see him as his character on the history tour.

    I read something about the tear drop shaped burn marks and some researchers say it could mean a protection against lightening strikes and fire. That there are so many up in that room would make sense if that was indeed the reason for them. Being at the top of the building would mean an increase in the risk to lightening strikes and fire. It is obviously cooler if the real reason was a protection from evil though.😊

    Fascinating place, steeped in history. They just need to pick a name that doesn’t require a knowledge of Welsh to pronounce (for marketing if nothing else). My first exposure to the protection marks & scorches. Have you encountered these elsewhere? Alison, that attic intimidated you more than I’ve seen either of you! Didn’t seem to affect Kag 🤔 Have you encountered these marks elsewhere? Perhaps specific to the area and phobia of witches & demons in those times? Good session, please return there on your next UK trip!

    • @haunted-horizons
      @haunted-horizons  5 месяцев назад +1

      The marks are known to be in other old places, and once I got back home, I was intrigued and started researching it. They were said to be Apotropaic marks and were found wherever they thought evil/witches could enter, e.g. windows, door frames or fireplaces. Also used to protect against fire and lightning apparently. As for Kag not being affected, she didn't get to be up there all on her own in the dark 🤔🤔😂

    • @haunted-horizons
      @haunted-horizons  5 месяцев назад

      It does vaguely, and you had me intrigued, so I went digging. Apparently, the nearest line is just under a km away on the other side of the village, so next, I checked to see if trains run all night... they don't. They apparently stop from 1 a.m. until 5 a.m. in the U.K. This was the last part of the night, so it would have been well after 1 a.m. I know with our U.S.A. investigations we were permanently hearing trains, and joked about how often, but here Kag and me don't remember hearing any. Thank you, as I love it when we get suggestions, and I can look into something I hadn't thought of 😊❤

There were a few orbs floating about and one went towards Kag when she was sitting in the stairway at 43.40 and another earlier at 35.45. As for the language it reminded me of MRS Brown who say's.....That's nice..... all the time and then she said her husband never spent much money on her but he did giver elocution lessons, someone said really? She said yes I used to say FU#k OFF but now I say...That's nice.😂😂🤣🤣 Oh I heard a funny one the other day just got to tell it to you. There was this lovely old couple sitting up the front in church. The old lady lent over and whispered into her husbands ear....I just very quietly broke wind what do you think I should do about it. Her husband said...Put some new battery's in your hearing aid.😂😂🤣🤣 I hope this put a smile on your faces as you two always do to mine.😁😁😂😂👍🏻👍🏻❤❤👻👻👻👻
