  • From the back catalogue of videos I filmed and edited with Will Raison.
In this episode Champion angler Will Raison is back on Gold Valley's Gold Lake to show how he used PVA bags for big weight summer carp action.
The PVA bags in conjunction with a modified flat bed method feeder prove a deadly twist on this otherwise winter tactic.
He takes us to a peg where he used the very method to win a match just days before and shows why you should start long but loose feed short.

Creators note March 2024 : You may know that I shot and edited the Will Raison Fishing videos that were published by V2V Angling Productions but illness (I have a rare form of blood cancer) brought me to a point where a few years ago I could not continue making them. As the copyright owner of these productions I believe they are still packed with good info and advice even if they are somewhat dated now. Therefore I am slowly adding the back catalogue to this platform. Kind regards Brian Gay.

I wonder how this method would fish in 2024 ! Definitely worth a try considering you can get 8mm in a very neat pile over the method feeder.

Seems as though it could well still be effective. Takeaway for me though is that it was another example of Will thinking outside the box and applying ideas from outside of match fishing into his own match plans.

You will find that he puts a uniform amount in each bag. Off the top of my head he use to fill a small pole cup and put that amount in each bag.
