I bought the 2200er Series. It's a "Light" version, only Coffee, Espresso, Cappu (with LatteGo System).I'm fine with it. Yes, it is "Loud", but it's OK. ItÄs similar to the noise when the beans are grinded. Greetings from Germany and thanks for that sympathic and authentic short review. :)
All of me .. my daughter doesn't want a "manual" espresso machine and I refuse to get a long-term expensive pod Nespresso ($1+/ea), so this looks promising.
When you adjust the americano volume, does it adjust the espresso or hot volume volume or both? If it's the espresso volume it will become more and more bitter. If its the hot water volume it will just dilute the coffee more.
Hello! Great intro. We just got this machine few days ago and still in "learning phase." It appears you guys did not install the Aquaclean unit. We have filtered water. Do we need to use the Aquaclean unit or it is optional? Thanks.
Please help here. We just bought this machine and don't get dark black coffee and taking the normal coffee. And is thin look in our clear glasses. We have chanced the grinding to 2 finer. But we don't think this should be needed. Also when doing like a cappuccino with water go in the gitter part in the bottom. We still have around 2-4 cl of water in the part you empty put. It comes somewhere in from the matching not the coffee brew holds outside. It has fine grind parts in it swell
That was realistic. I would probably have made those errors if you didn't do it for me. LOL, great job on the review. My Saeco just went to the shop and this machine is on sale.
Does anyone know if any of the Philips LatteGo models will froth unsweetened almond milk or any combo of unsweetened almond milk and heavy whipping cream? I love frothed coffee drinks and want a LatteGo, but I'm on a strict Keto diet for health reasons.
Thank you for the review. I would like you opinion, as I am trying to decide on a espresso machine to purchase. Looking at the Breville 870 barista express and the Philips 2200. The Philips 2200 is more automatic and the Breville 870 is more manual. Either would work for me, but the Philips seems easy for guests. Our household likes both espresso and coffee. Your comments between the two machines would be appreciated.
Philips will be easier and cleaner for guests for sure. Frothing is better with a manual but takes some talent and practice. If the idea is to make it simple, Philips is the way to go.
Bei mir sind die ausgeworfen Kaffeepads im Trester Behälter nicht in einem Stück. Diese sind zerfallen und schaut eher wie gebrauchtes Kaffee-Pulver aus. An was kann das liegen?
There are some that can brew 8oz or you can double brew Into a travel mug...or make an Americano with more water but they don't make what most in North America call drip coffee. Best bet is to go to a store and try some of the espresso products....being your favourite mug to see if it fits under the spout
@@ecscoffeeinc This machine is excellent! Thanks for the review and advice. However, when I attempt to use ground coffee the machine just makes water. Have you experienced this with your unit? Beans are just fine.
Hi, I just bought this machine from you guys. Thanks for the fast free shipping! Hey the coffee grind drawer is all watery & loose. Shouldn’t they be like hard formed pucks? Haha thought that was very odd. Using your whole beans that came with the machine. 🤙🏼
smwbiggs thanks for the reply, just got ours yesterday and pulled about 7 drinks out of it so far and it's not producing all that great of drinks. Guess I'll have to play around with it even more. I adjusted the grind, water, strength all that multiple different ways.
From how I understand it the puck is the coffee grains left in the machine after brewing (kinda like a barista when he/she dumps out the grains from the espresso handle) and the shot is basically a single dosage of coffee while 2 shots are when ypu position 2 cups under the head and it makes 2 of whatever milk-less drink you choose.
Great light-hearted video with good info! Can an old school steaming wand "home barista" get used to the Lattetogo or should I stay with the traditional steaming wand?
Hmmmm - I just pulled the trigger on this yesterday. The carafe sold me since I would use it only for a cap. Great review - thanks. I'm wondering what would be an alternative to this machine but still around $1k?
It's a shame you can only make cappucino with the machine and not a microfoam for a flat white, I was between the philips 3200 and the Delonghi Dinamico 35025 and the Dinamico with the steam wand let's you chose foam density
That's a very valid point. Some want there beverage at the touch of a button with no hassle but you definitely get the ability to customize your beverages more with a steam wand. Try checking out our videos of the Dinamica.
As shown in this video at 8:52 , you take out the water tank, then open the panel to reveal the brew group. From there, press the indentation that reads "PRESS" and pull it out.
@@ecscoffeeinc Thank you, it was locked in. I had to remember to push the button on the back to 'off' and it came right out. Thanks. I'd done it before to clean it but this time it was locked in, so I thought I had put it in wrong last time and jammed it, but it was just not turned completely off.
Weird that you did a review on a machine you admittedly never used before hitting record on the camera. I was waiting for you to try and remove the brew group while the machine was on.
The milk is nowhere near as loud as your negativity towards the $ for $ champion of coffee makers. Its simple, clean, easy and cheap considering its capability and quality.
Got this exact machine for Christmas from my boys, it’s the best coffee machine ever, hassle free easy to use and fantastic fancy coffees 🥰🥰🥰
I just ordered this from you guys...thank you for all the videos! It helped me with all my research 😊
Happy to help! Enjoy your new machine and happy brewing! 😄

Yeah that is the one I am looking to buy

Pod machines are a pox on the earth and should be illegal.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH .. Ended up with a Breville Barista Touch and love it.
Can you show me how can I get higher temperature?.
Like it!Just bought..waiting delivery
Are the 4300 and 5300 series significantly quieter?
Which machine are you comparing them to?
We would say if you are wanting a quiet machine the Jura E6 or E8 is the way to go!
I clicked on the video to learn about the machine but ended up enjoying the fun content.
Thanks...honestly one of us had wine for lunch before we did this video ...guess who!
How does it make a coffee versus an Americano?
I enjoyed the spontaneous real life review, well done!
So can you adjust how strong your shots or cup of coffee is?
When you adjust the americano volume, does it adjust the espresso or hot volume volume or both? If it's the espresso volume it will become more and more bitter. If its the hot water volume it will just dilute the coffee more.
Hi i got the macghine! if i use it with Milk i get a strange noise (it makes a har click sound while it start with the milk is this normnal?
Great review guys, thanks for sharing.
Can you keep the milk container filled in the refrigerator?
It can but it is not the best at standing up straight...easily knocked over.
This is hilarious!! Now, at least I can figure out where the milk hole is before I buy!!

In considering this or the TK-01
what is the difference between the 3200 & 3300 models ?
Cant find a better machine for that money, its make Great coffee
Well, but in comparison with delonghi, what is the best?
We personally like the Delonghi better but it really depends on the model
thank u for amazing video \ do u recommend it for ice latte ? + is there an option to make it duoble shot ?
There is a double shot option. They are all good for iced latte really.
fantastic coffe machine series 3200

Can you give a real temp of the milk for a latte (instead of “hot’)?
I think I saw a different review and it's around 140
That was realistic. I would probably have made those errors if you didn't do it for me. LOL, great job on the review. My Saeco just went to the shop and this machine is on sale.
Is it louder than the delonghi magnifica?
Yes our testing shows it is. In fact a video coming out soon
Possible to make a flat white with this machine?
There unfortunately is not a setting for flat white on this model.
Can you use non dairy milk products in its? Like almond or cashew milk
We find they don't froth well. Really you need a panarello wand to do this
Does anyone know if any of the Philips LatteGo models will froth unsweetened almond milk or any combo of unsweetened almond milk and heavy whipping cream? I love frothed coffee drinks and want a LatteGo, but I'm on a strict Keto diet for health reasons.

In which direction do you need to turn the grind knob to get the finest setting?

Thank you!!
You're welcome!
Why do none of the reviewers make the Latte Macchiato drink??!!! Everyone goes to show the Cappuccino. I would love to see the Latte too.
Thanks for the feedback. We will keep that in mind for future reviews.
Extraction time 9s. That must be delicious... :D
Must do a comparison between this and Saeco Xelsis.
Two different price points. See our Xelsis review here ruclips.net/video/NN1iJp9n74I/видео.html
I don’t see any crema on the espresso shot. Can that be adjusted?
crema was fine for a superautomatic on the shot. Doesn't show well on camera. But we were doing an Americano.
Maybe you could put a video showing how to clean the brew group using coffee oil removal tablets?
What is major difference between this machine and the 2200? Does 220 do Latta’s and cappuccino?
Major difference is milk. The 2200 has a panarello wand and not the auto milk
Thanks!
Is the bean hopper lid have a magnetic sensor like it's counter part from the Saeco line? Trying to gauge if they fixed the issue.
No it does not have a magnetic sensor
Noob here. What if I want to use a travel mug? Is there any expresso machine compatible with travel mugs?

Hello, can you compare it to the 5000 series please ? they are at the same price atm. Thanks
5000 is same just has more drinks..

Hi Steve. Thanks for the business. Try adjusting your grinder to make the coffee a little finer. That should do the trick.
Neil Madden thanks! I’ll give it a go!
Steve Biggs did adjusting the grinds finer do the trick?
cheeznhard it did yes! Love this machine.

Good honestly
What is a puck and a shot? I heard you use those terms but not sure what they mean. I assume you just add water , beans and milk?

Google's your friend.
Never cry over spilt milk ! 😉😉
What if I am not a coffee snob, will i like this machine?
Great light-hearted video with good info! Can an old school steaming wand "home barista" get used to the Lattetogo or should I stay with the traditional steaming wand?
You can but the froth will not be as good as an old school steam wand.
Can you just froth the milk
Not with this unit.
hi, can it make only hot milk/foam? like 3100 series!
Yes just hot.
Hello, how do I do that? Thanks!
No tamping or basket to remove?
none at all

What is your favorite fully automatic machine? Price point below $1,000.
Philips or the Evo from Delonghi if you need milk. If not, I life the Jura Ena 4. But it has NO milk functionality at all
how do you get the brew group out to clean?
As shown in this video at 8:52 , you take out the water tank, then open the panel to reveal the brew group. From there, press the indentation that reads "PRESS" and pull it out.

I like that shirt, guy in the video, where is it from? lol
Its a few years old from Kit and Ace
What this guy was doing there . Let the lady show the machine man.

Thanks for your opinion. I am sure it will be useful to others!
Where you paid for this review?
No we are not paid for any reviews.
Can anybody buy me one ....... I'll be waiting.
Robert Petrarca I bought one for you. You can pick it up in Greenland
@@jacobg.christensen6549 Thanks a lot man... just leave the address and I try to make it there before end of year, if that's OK with you. Lol🙋
Robert Petrarca I keep my eyes open for a boat... :D
This guy is a negative nancy. I own this machine and its great.
Negative Neil :) Keep in mind, we compare these machines with about 50 others we sell. Glad you like it!
So noisy and milk lines that you can't clean!
No real milk lines to clean. But yes it is noisy
Anything to say about the guy ?????
Take him off , he sucks
very funny ,hahahah :)
