    You could also use charcoal from a fire place and avoid exposure to any hazardous chemicals in the battery. Please use gloves when pulling g apart a battery.

      Thanks for the suggestion! Using charcoal from a fireplace sounds like a safer and more eco-friendly option. And you’re absolutely right-gloves are a must when handling batteries. I appreciate the reminder!🌹

    now spray it down with water and dry it and it wont be as deep a fonish or if you want it more perminate as talley says use a heat gun, all you are doing is same as rubbing onto the surface the saem idea of stove polish or lamp black the blackpowder is a mix of zinc ,manganese dioxide/carbon so basically just rubbing a carbon on surface and soon as it rains the soap base you mixed it with will probablu make a mess

    A heat gun works MUCH BETTER on car trims.
