{UPDATED} Virtual Box 7.0 is available with shaky stability for Windows 11 ARM on mac M1/M2. You can run a Windows 11 ARM with UTM and the go ahead an try Virtual Box. And YES Virtual Box are working on support for Windows 11 ARM running on apple silicon chips :))) hope this helps !

I upgraded from 2017 MacBook Pro and no regrets. Performance difference is crazy + the battery. I got the M1 pro 16 inch base model. Works amazing for programming. Running two parallels no problem
@@vishnusehrawat5779 it’s noticeable heavier than my last one, but it doesn’t bother me. I prefer bigger screen. Portability isn’t a problem for me either, I put it in a case when I’m going to work and you forget about it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s noticeable that’s it’s big but it’s never really an inconvenience. If you care about portability then I’d get the 14 inch 10 core version.
If you need a machine for your work, then you should definitely go with MacBook Pro M1 Pro, it's one of the best for your purpose. Waiting for M2 would be a long time firstly, and secondly M2 will be a successor or M1, not M1 Pro or M1 Max.
nice comparison! I hope is not to much of trouble to us/me some numbers like how much memory is available in parallel for an operating system. I tried garuda on 8GB ram machine and it was crashing.
Getting 16GB RAM would be a good option, it doesn’t crashes. We have tested for multiple virtual machines simultaneously in Parallels with 16GB RAM, and it performs good.
theoritically consider that win 11 as seperate laptop can u tell me whats the actual configuration for eg: how much ram used? whats the gpu power i mean whats the equivalent graphics -GtX or RTx my understanding using VM inside macbook means using two laptops side by side
Wait... I thought that all Intel-based Mac apps could be used via Rosetta 2 but at the cost of some performance? I've only used Oracle VirtualBox because Parallels has an on-going subscription cost of which I'm not a fan of. The only thing besides compatibility issues that drives me nuts with the new Apple Silicon Macs (the current M1 series) is the fact that even tho' it's been rumored that 11.4 or was it 11.5 fixed the SSD swap memory issues, it clearly hasn't done that. There was a video explaining how a certain app only consumes around 1GB of swap on an Intel-based Mac but uses around 10GB or more on Apple Silicon. It wasn't just one or two apps, but it was tested on multiple pieces of software and all exhibited 10-20x SSD swap usage. That is a huge huge problem seeing as that directly affects the lifespan of your machine. Lots of people say that SSDs last way longer than people think which is true, but they do not take into account that what if the SSD degrading is around 10x more? Well then the lifespan estimations become radicly shorter. So if someone think that older Macs used to hold up around 5-7 years, that may not be the case for newer Macs at all but it may be way way less 3 years. Only time will tell since we don't have any Apple Silicon devices that would've been out for that long.
The biggest problem I think with virtualization on the new Apple Silicon Macs is the fact that you can only run the ARM version of Windows 10 and that doesn't really give access to most of the apps around... so it seems very much pointless. And from what I've heard, getting the ARM based Windows to work is a hassle in many ways.
I tried the parallels trial version but now it is that you have completed the trial period IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN AVAIL THE TRIAL VERSION AGAIN???? @ProgramHub

VMWare actually is available now as well on Apple Silicon in a Preview edition.
Can UTM be the same as virtualbox

Geat info! With an M1 Pro will be enough 16GB RAM for VM or will run better with 32GB RAM? Thanks!
Depends on how many VMs you want to run simultaneously and if you use them for intensive tasks.
I would say 16GB is enough for most people though.
@@user-ir8pb1hh6l I will use it to run some few only W10 software and perhaps learn Linux.
