Think I want to try this on my own. I’m just a super beginner tho so I wish further explanations could’ve been made. Stupid explanations that a kid can understand like what’s open/ closed. When to open and close. Essential tools to have for this cut. And more detail on that square look. How to determine to head shape and best look.

I got the self cut system mirror set up. Helped a lot so I have both my hands free and all I had to do was look left and right for each side. For the clipper over comb part or sear or guards or whatever you do to connect the fade to the top that was the hardest part. I tried to do clipper over comb and it was sketchy I made a light patch lol i guess I could have tried thinning sears over comb but what really worked for me was using my cordless master with the phat blade open and I free handed it. I could hear and feel the hair being cut and it didn’t push the hair so much and it cut well because it’s metal. I like it rounded not so squared so I’m sure it would still work how you like it too. I was happy how it came out. I did a high drop skin fade with a 6 on top.
This video was actually helpful for me as a beginner barber I understood all the steps clear appreciate it man 🙌🏼

Just gotta say I started cutting my hair a when we went into quarantine and watched a ton of your videos on how to cut hair it really helped but now I don’t think I’ll ever go to a barber shop the first two times were weird and difficult but after that I got the hairstyle I want and I can’t touch it up perfect and I save a ton of money because I’m in the military and would have to have a fresh cut every week

Being in the military means weekly cuts and it gets expensive. So I taught my ex gf how to cut my hair but since we broke up .. lmao I been cutting my own hair for a few months now and I started cutting other people hair and that's how I got enough money to treat myself to the 360 self cut system and other dope tomb45 products! Chris yo, the bulk at the top that you're struggling with, use a thinning shear, and cut straight along from your parietal ridge to the top .that'll get rid of the heavy line and will blend perfectly to the top length .

Dope for a self cut!! I found it easier to use shears when connecting the sides to the top and I took a two behind the ear so that it won’t look too bulky and dark👍🏽

I've been cutting it myself and doing a pretty good job if I may say so Myself.
I have to start experimenting with a shorter fade, because what i did is 10mm to 7mm fade, it was perfect like it was cut with scissors...but it was only the first try on a fade with my new clippers. (Philips hc9... The one with the adjustable length )
I remember from 2012 when i did a Caesar cut on my head, it mad emy head really look like an egg 🥚 a loooooong tube hahaha
I want to avoid that, and i guess a fade from 6 to 13mm will do that i hope ?

Definitely hard to self cut when visually impaired unless you wear contacts. It's still more difficult to cut your own hair in comparison to someone else. You did a great job tho bro!
Not gunna lie I use to give myself a skin fade every two weeks myself and it got to the point it was too much work and got exhausted and I’m like fuck it I’ll just pay someone to cut it and I also wear glasses too so it makes the process even harder
