Why do you need additional flooring? You may be decreasing your horizontal and vertical spaces. Why not clean the floors and put a washable rug down? Sounds like you are attempting, as we used to say, to keep up with the Jones’s-the van life Jones’s, that is, which can confuse self authenticity. Many of the van lifers and builds are keeping up the Jones’s too. They want to make their van builds even better than the one before, if you will. .Most of the van builds on RUclips are better restricted to bricks and mortar homes. They are really reaching nonsensical extremes. My point is just do you and less doing what others are doing. You may find that you are enjoying yourself more and spending less money.
