For me it's all about the feel - not the numbers. This simple tech in a box makes me perceive my car as nimbler, more aggressive and more sporty all around. I never would have believed a simple "remap" of my gas pedal would make such a difference. (Again: No actual power - just the experience) RaceChip takes this to a premium level with high quality components and nice instructions.

I own a racechip xlr for a 1.4 seat leon fr, the accerlation is insane with it in race mode, however it cost me an eye watering £189 so if you can afford one then i'd highly recommend.
Had mine 4 years always in sports plus. 320 CDI. Turbo lag virtually gone in sports plus etc. These boxes are brilliant. When I park up I leave in ECO. If gets stolen yikes they would abandon its that slow. Had some idiots say nar it doesnt affect the engine its a placebo WHAT ! It does work trust me. Sleeper Stage 1 with XLR pedal box beep beep . Mines covered in air freshers hanging !!!!!!!
The manual states to unlock the car, leave it for 10 minutes to drain all possible current running within, disable the alarm, etc - was that necessary? Have you done it?
@@CarsForPaul supposing you have both keyless entry and the alarm - was that an issue? Was the alarm triggered ? Or was it enough to leave the car unlocked for 10 minutes and afterwards you could work on it without problem? Did you had your car key with you or left it in the house (10m away)? Thank you
No gimmicks it's absolutely one of the best quick mods to do if your a car guy fitted mines in 10mins different brand but they do the same thing, the cars throttle response feels amazing couldn't do without it now

You can switch between different modes like eco sports or race in seconds, race mode sometimes is too aggressive if your in stop start traffic so can quickly drop it into sports mode, you couldn't switch it that quick with vcds or obd11 and I don't know if they would get the response so sharp as race mode

Hi. I think modern throttles are just a 0 to 5V signal? So is the Race Chip just some resistors as a voltage divider?

Throttle boosters work, I had a Tros throttle booster on my 2.0t Genesis Coupe....I never drove it in stock mode ever again.

they are tuned for each car so you couldn't swap from one car to another
After installing it, do you still feel that small lag/response when you step on the throttle? I heard VAG cars suffer from this.
