Thanskss
Usually i'm affraid of choosing colors:(

hi
Famous
As a pro artist I wish there were videos like this when I started I swear to god you’ve helped a lot of kids trying to do their thing for the first time keep grinding bro , respectfully 🤝
thank you so much im really glad it's help
Same hee this is so helpful thankyou!! Ive been the wrong side for over 3 months now this oppened my eyes
Hey fellow jojo fan

Not just kids I'm 62 LOL
Some useful tips. I personally always go light to dark thoguh
yes mee too before 😁 but when i do dark to light it turns out better
You can use a lighter color to smudge or blend the dark. The same works for watercolor, acrylic, etc.
Edit: if you also have a colorless blender, lay that down to make page moist for lighter blending color
@@vofx2279 there is no “proper way”
Me too
@@talkingweevil3172 mhm in some cases I go light to dark and in some I dont. it just depends on how YOU like to draw
This made it so much easier for me to understand. I haven’t touched my copic markers in months because of the way my drawings turned out. Thanks to this video, I’m going to try using these methods for my art. 😀
welcome thank you too for watching
The right paper makes all the difference. Try Strathmore Bristol 300 series of the Vellum. Its awesome for markers
0:34 - let the ink of trace drawing dry before coloring
1:22 - prepare all color u'r planning to use and try it to scratch paper to avoid color mistake
2:52 - use the small tip for smaller details
3:38 - find where is light and shadow in ur drawing
4:17 - close marker after using it
4:50 - blend the dark and light colors (color in dark-to-light way)
6:24 - don't store markers standing up
6:49 - don't put much pressure or ink
Thank you so much!
Thanks you for taking the time and doing this for us
Oh thanks I'mma Screenshot this
Personally I think going from light to dark colours isn't wrong it's more what suits your art style better as dark to light isn't always right either; Depends on the scenario
yes you are correct, you can use light to dark or light to dark dipends to someone using it ,
I like using dark to light more because I like my art darker, scarier, and kinda rough
@@JhoanArt yo whats the code ( example: 76 ) or name ( example: Scarlet ) of the markers you used for the skins?
I thought light to dark look more like a shadow.
Light to dark works with my workflow better since you can’t go back with ink. Your paper is the lightest you can go, then the ink then the darker ink. It might be since I don’t have a lot of good paper but still.
Can we talk about Deku’s pose ….? I just love the way it looks lol

Tip 0: Don't get drunk
Impossible!
Thank you for the tip
Good thing the markers smell gross and unappetizing 😂
yes because drunkness is leading to Hell repent and believe in the Gospel of Jesus christ read your bibles we are jnnthe last days watch good fight ministries and blessed hope chapel
Just bought a 100 set of touch alcohol and this really helped
I’m doing valorant fan art and working on yoru my main
He’s badass and I am enjoying creating fan art of him and this will help me make him look hot
thank you so much 😍😍🤗🤗🤗
Ohuhus have a better value for money but idk
I'm new to using marker or coloring in general. when I add another layer on top of the original, it removes the base making it look dirty
yes it happen to me sometimes
@@JhoanArt hey I was just wondering if I could use any pen when using alcohol markers and also if I could use alcohol markers on pencil markings
@@ari_3746 using micron pens is better than sharpies or anything like that, sharpies usually smudge alot and markers smudge pencil marks too, Sakura micron pens are really good for outlines
Ch.Spooky agreeed
@@ch.spooky7074 or uni pens
If you dont have enough colours you can also shade before or after the marker use with pencil. It depends on your preferred texture but this has rlly helped me.
I would still always go light to dark for the most part (sometimes I do lay down certain darks first but broadly speaking) by layering the lighter marker to the darkest color it can get and then moving on to a darker one creates more depth and smoother gradients (of course that doesn't matter as much in super sharp high contrast works) also working with a lighter blue in can add an even lighter green as an undertone to bring more variation but it will be harder to do if we start with the darkest color
I go from light to dark too
I think the first step would be to avoid using non-marker paper for markers. It really leaves a different effect. Other than that I think this is pretty helpful
Yeah picking the suitable sheet for the each mediums is the 1st thing to consider whilst picking any supply . Better go with drawing pad or marker
Awesome Deku! Great video, nice, neat and informative. Thanks for the tips. 👍
thank you so much Zapp Z
I just bought a 40 pack of Azure alcohol markers, and wanted to learn how to use them. It's my first time using alcohol markers! Thanks for the tips!
welcome
My problem is that I absolutely don’t know where to add shadows 😂🙈
This helped me a TON!! i used to smudge my colors with the ink and i was generally bad at coloring but this helped SO MUCH! THANK YOU, WE NEED MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS!! 👍🔥❤️✊
Very well done! Thank you for the awesome video, how you made the hair on the right side was spectacular. I love that you added some green, then applied thick&thin black hatching over top This is probably 1 of the best voiceless, music & text tutorials I've ever watched!
I love the sound effect for the uh/oh no, cracked me up every time ! Thanks for the tips! Coming to these from acylic paint so it's a steep learning curve
Thanks for telling me this, the fact that I've been dong all the don'ts ever since I first got them till now lol
I feel like I abused my markers for too long :( The one about the dark before the light saved me, and also where can we buy the thing you use to store your markers?
i bought it from Amazon 😊🤗
You can also get some carton packages or boxes from things that are empty. As long as they’re abt the same size it shouldnt matter… and glue those together. You could potentionally also make them yourself from scratch. If you really want fancy plastic ones that look aesthetically more pleasing and neat then I’d reccomend Amazon yea.
I just want to say that I just got my hands on alcohol markers...I'm not a professional by any means (my art is kinda bad)...and this video helps A LOT! So thank you for the lesson 😊
Thanks. It not over complicated direct advice easy to follow. Now finally I know how to make my art slightly better.
Omg can i marry this drawing! LOl
Edit:tysm for the two likes and the Heart
Omg thank you so much , I learned a lot how to use my alcohol markers right 😭❤️❤️
We all know why you actually clicked
i always watch your videos about do's and don't for alcohol markers, i started buying alcohol markers when i saw this and im just beginner and it's kinda hard and i hate it when the part of alcohol markers dry and can't blend it anymore but I will continue it until i learn it. thank you so much ❤️❤️
I'm just starting to get into copic markers and adding to my collection my goal is to have as many as I can before I start. this video is super useful! thank you so much
Wow 😲😳, getting to see the colors for shading and blending side by side really helps! It's easier to see how using more colors for different shadow to light creates a more professional art composition. Thank you very much for your time and efforts! 🤗❤️👍🏾💯
Thank You Char for watching my videos i really appreciate that ❤️ 😍
Amazing keep going!
Loved your chanel 💛
thank you so much i really appreciate that
This actually helped me out. I want to get into coloring my art and didn't really know good techniques. Thanks!
Basically start from dark to light noted ! Thank you 🙏🏾
Thanks so much! For sure it will take a lot of time and practice but I hope thanks to ur vid I will improve drawing with markers :D

Thank you for this tutorial!!! I'm an alcohol marker beginner. This tutorial video will help me a lot in my future with alcohol markers. Thanks again!!! ♥♥♥
Thank you for the tips! Now I know how to use my newly bought alchohol markers!
Im so glad this was recommended to me since i have alcohol markers for 5 months and this came out very helpful i do have a lot of worries amd smudge.
thank you so much alpha & omega
New sub❤
Great video! But how do you avoid your light markers from becoming damaged from dark coloring? I know you should wait for it to dry to avoid smearing, but the markers end up being stained from the dark.
use them on a separate paper until the ink is cleaned off
@ But then you waste a lot of ink, I think it’s better going from light to dark
thank you so much, learned a lot from this, ever
since i got more into art i was lended ohuhu markers knowing nothing about but you helped me very much about some tips
Thank you. Going to start marker coloring again. Awesome do:s and don't:s
thank you so much i really appreciate that ❤️
This is the first dos and donts video I've watched that helped me this much

Ótimo anime 👏👏 parabéns 😎 assistindo aqui do Brasil 🇧🇷👍
thank you so much 🤗
I just bought my first markers and I needed some help to start 😅this is really helpful thank you so much! 💖
@Power of Drawing u are the best artist i hav ever seen
Usefull if you have all those markers tones
Yeah alcohol markers are a medium where you actually need a wide array of colors.
You really really helped me!❤ Those tips made me realise my mistakes! Also, I bought a pack of promarkers some weeks ago and I'm honestly still trying to get used to them. So, l wanted to ask if these tips work on them as well. Thank you!!!❤❤
welcome Mayamak 😍
tysm i was about to buy some alcohol markers and i didnt know how to use em now i can shade like a pro!
I didn't even know about Copic markers until I saw a comment about them on FB. So I asked what they were and came here. Glad I did thank you very much. Got my sub ❤💯
I personally have been watching ADCartattack and he always goes light to dark and his pieces blend so nice. I feel like it depends on what your drawing. anime prolly cool to do that but i feel like more realistic pieces should be light to dark because of a better blend and depth.
Some of these were pretty helpful but the tip to close your markers’ caps after using them…..I’m pretty sure everyone puts their markers’ caps back on
Well, people make mistake. I once almos dried out my markers because I didn't Cape them properly . And some (*inhale angrily) sunavabic that i lend them my markers capped it in such a brutal way the tip is busted to no repair (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
Wow! It was super useful! Thank you! Great video!
Thanks it helps a lot
Sa wakas alam ko na gamitin yung

So to blend, do you wait for the first layer to dry then add the layer your blending with on, or do you put it on when it is not dry.
I think you can do either but most do wet.
Tysm for the tips!
i got a pack of weisbrandt alchool markers and this really helped me out ^^
Tho the problem is i dont have much skin tones , which does kinda suck
thank you so much im glad its helped you. 😁
These are truly excellent tips! Thanx so much!👍
Wow thanks you for sharing the tips that I didn't know. Thank you very much 😊😊😊👍👍👍
Nice!
thank you so much
I still have trouble with shading but I'm getting there. This video really helped because I switched to alcohol markers just a few weeks ago and I basically had no idwa what I was doing 😅
Also, is it okay to use references? I always have to look up pictures of the characters I draw, but somebody told me that I should not do that. I don't copy it or anything I just have a picture of a character up on my tablet to look at.
thats totally okay!! its not copying or cheating. But also remember that if you share your art, remember to give the reference credits :)
This omg i can never draw without reference
You should almost always use references, even if creating a new creature or whatever- it only looks good to people if it is based in reality so you can get things like shading, textures at least, even as far as how muscles and bones work together . Drawing mechs - you want them to appear that they could exist and that requires somewhat functional looking connections, hinges, exhaust panels and other real things that are combined in creative and new ways. Final note, those old masters sometimes just did a portrait of someone - no one said they were copying or unoriginal or untalented . Combine references in new and exciting. Ways + combine the techniques and nuances of the artists you admire into your own personal way too!! Literally the no references for any reason is the worst “advice " ive come across on here over and over .
References are great! Every good artist uses them.
Even in popular animated movies they had to use references to make the drawings look right.
Don’t believe people who tell you otherwise!
Thank you for the tips!
Thank you so much! I want to buy some too and I really needed some tips
Can I ask what type of paper you used here and it's gsm. Thank you, it helps me since I just bought my alcohol markers ♥

That deku titan 😂😂
Amazing. Thank you for tutorial❤
Thank you! When I get some alcohol markers, I’ll be sure to remember these! Also, great art^^
Other tutorials: "Start to light to dark colors!"
This Tutorial: "Start Dark to light colors!"
yeahh i confused with that...
Anyway which one the correct one??
@@traceyla3914 "correct" is what your preference is. I occasionally do both, depending whether I'm looking for a softer, more blended effect (light to dark) or a more contrasty look (dark to light). I guess most artists do light to dark because you can always add more shadows, while removing them when adding them first and then realizing they're too strong doesn't work half as well. You can still blend them out, but why correct mistakes when you can avoid them from the beginning.
@@feralshojo okay :)
Amazing. Any other MHA fans?
Your art is so amazing and than you so much for the tips-
Totally not me saying during the whole video "Wow". But i just bought on the internet alcohol markers and it will deliver next week.So i'm very thankful for this video :-)
