This looks great for me, a basic and occasional outdoorsman. I've been watching your videos for a while now and I think you just earned a new customer.
Just wanted to say thanks again for the whole idea. This particular project of yours has given me such inspiration for 5v solar panel / powerbank configurations vs 12v. I was fortunate to buy a panel when you first started the builds on your site, before the price hike, and have LOVED it (it's nice having a larger-than-necessary surface to collect in less-than-optimal conditions when panel size isn't a factor). It's also a great starting place for a novice like myself to be able to build cheap systems and still have the option to use a plethora of batteries and devices (anything USB-powered). I'm putting this same config in my daughter's clubhouse for lighting, and am working on USB switches for easier on/off/batterycharge. I'll have to make a video when it's finished. My next project will be trying to build one of those SJRs you're so good at creating. Thanks as always for sharing, Lasersaber.
I actually bought 2 limefuel blast's for a school project and had an issue with one of them. don't know if it was a fluke or not but do not fully discharge them if you don't have to. I did and it wouldn't take a charge but would get really hot while charging with a 5v 2a or a 5v 1a charger(was actually worried it would burst into flames). It died on the day of my presentation :( The next day I said screw it and let it charge anyway and it eventually started to take a charge and I have been cautious about them since then but haven't had any other issues. a tip for anyone experimenting with them. if you accidentally short them out like I did(sometimes breadboards are more trouble than they are worth) just plug them in to recharge and it will "reset" it(but I would still be careful with it). Thanks and keep experimenting. we all enjoy it
you mentioned that the Velcro was upgraded to a type with heat resistant adhesive on it. Is this because the heat adsorbed by the dark serfaces of pannel is being transferred through to the back of the panel? If so have you done any tests to ensure that the lithium battery is not being heated above its maximum safe working temperature?
Where do you get the solar panels for these products? I would like to build some of my own systems for different applications and these panels seem very reliable.
Dan Aaronson Before I started ordering them in larger quantities directly from Shenzhen I order them from Amazon. The Amazon price went up and is over $50.00 each right now. You can also order them here: www.aliexpress.com/item/8W-outdoor-flexible-solar-film-photovoltaic-charger-for-mobile-phone-tablet-bluetooth-headset-mp3-PDA/32248588501.html
Am I able to get the panels shipped to me in the UK? Or buy them myself somewhere in the UK?

sashablfc I found supplier from china that is willing to send me to EU, It is probably similar/same setup with laminated 8W semi flexible panel + usb charge controller 15usd, dhl shipping 27usd + paypal "tax" =44€. Someone on amazon sells them as well. Add customs charges on-top of that and it is price I am currently not eager to pay. Deal extreme holds 5W version, it would be nice it they start selling them from eu warehouse as well.
sashablfc If you have any trouble locating them, I do ship them international by individual request. Send me an email if interested. contact info can be found here: teslamaker.com/contact/

Great to see that Avasva has new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.

SNEAKYxWYZRD Thank you for sharing your experience. Did you tell LimeFuel about it? They would probably appreciate the feedback on their product.

Watched whole video ad :) Thank's for great videos.
Is it possible to splice 2 8w solar panels together with a USB connector?

Am in the uk .. cannot access any of ur websites.. the links only go back to you tube
could you maybe print out the sticker placement on the back of the solar panel?
Putting powerbank on velcro below solar panel is a sure way to destroy power bank in no time.
What is the mh compacitance of that . I alway buy batteries witht he highest compacitance. What is the mh of that .
Hello what size of panel is that?
What is the link for "Solar" voltage regulator part?
ashxyz2008x3 That is included built into the panel.

Nice product placement. I like how u actually recommended _to not_ buy this powerbank.

Interested if you can ship to Canada I have emailed you using your contact form
Go to WoodPrix if you'd like to build it yourself.
