Again, thanks for watching and see you next time!
Eduard is so awesome they saved many crappy plain cockpits in the model industry with their great photo etched stuff.
*SORRY ABOUT THE VIDEO QUALITY!* RUclips is being annoying and won't process HD...trying to figure it out. Thank you all for your understanding!
Edit: It's all good now. HD is available :)
I have just started building this kit and there are some fitting problems but overall a very nice model . The photo etched parts are very impressive and the variety of decals ia great. Despite the fact that it has revell plastic parts from 1998 it has great detail and rivets ! After finishing this model I will gain more experience as it is not an easy kit !
Very true stuff!
For a smaller scale it certainly punched way above its weight in details....you did an excellent job with outstanding results. Hope all goes well with your studies!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it man :)
Love those Gulf War warriors with the pin-ups! Just lovely. ^^ Great job on the kit.
Thank you very much my friend!
Gostei demais do seu canal, você mostra pacientemente os detalhes. Saudações.
Classic line... "these products do stink...etc etc" Anyway, great vid and glad to have found you so looking forward to more videos... my Achilles heel is the canopy... just can't seem to stop them 'smudging' no matter how careful I try... cheers
You have done a cracking job on that kit. Well done
Thanks Hamish, appreciate it!
The radome is painted with flexaine paint, it's a shiny black rubberised paint when first applied and after a flight or two it's dulled down to a matte. still shiny on your toecaps as they don't reach mach 1 😉
Interesting stuff! Thanks for the info mate
Well done Mr Weekly a great build. I wish I had the skills to tackle these sort of kits but I'm stuck building " starter kits" just now
Thank you mate - you'll gain skills quickly, keep at it!
It's gorgeous, mine just arrived. From a yank who LOVES Tornado's.
Good painting and weathering, quite realistic.
😊 thank you man :)
Very nice. Your modeling videos are so relaxing and very informative as well.
I'm very glad you like them. Very much appreciated!
thanks for this vid I've got this kit and its excellent and for what i call a good price. 25 quid for mine can't go wrong.
Great build, video was great as well.
Thank you mate :)
Excellent result nice work !
Thank you very much James!
Perfectly acceptable colouring good job👍
Thank you man :)
SWEET!
😄 thanks Matt :)
I love the use of Tamiya flesh colour to paint the desert pink camo.
Its like making an artists impression of an artists impression.
The first isnt accurate and the second takes it even further off base to the point where its clearly not the same thing but it looks like you think it should have done so its ok.
You lost me there not gonna lie mate 😅
Ordered mine yesterday, looks to be a very acceptable rendering of the Tornado.I find that humbrol 250 is the most realistic desert pink shade.
It is a pretty good kit! I saw the humbrol shade, though I was reluctant to use it as humbrol paints a bit...let's say 'basic' haha. I'd say the AK real colour shade would be the ideal option if I were to do it again!
@@ModellingWeekly Humbrol paints can be a bit troublesome, but I usually dilute it as much as possible and give the model 4 or 5 thin coats,it seems to turn out not too bad that way.
Great work! really nice build
Thank you 😊
Great job. 🤩
Crackin work mate
😉👌
Thank you man!
absolutely amazing
Thank you so much :)
I'm doing the same kit, but i'm a handbrush painter 😄 do you think an overall black primer coat would fit or Is the Gray One Better?
I'd you're brush painting, you'll have a much easier time getting good coverage painting over a grey primer
@@ModellingWeekly thanx!
No disrespect meant but I built the Hasegawa one a number of years ago, using Eduard parts and a cast resin set of wings in the forward position, with flaps deployed. I think if I was to do it again, I would stay with that combination.
360 max here. How long was it it uploaded?
Since 1pm!! Very annoyed lol
What brush did you use to paint the seats? It looks different to brushes I got (with longer and more... parallel bristles), and I saw some other people use that kind of brush, kinda want to try it myself.
I believe it was some kind of "Fine Arte" thin brush, got it from a local art store. Can't remember the exact model number off my head, I can check when I'm back home
@@ModellingWeekly sweet, thanks :3
@@benjimlem1284 Pro Arte 'PROLENE' Series 101 4/0
@@ModellingWeekly thanks a bunch :3
I really want this kit haven’t been able two find it amazing job bye the way
Try a old Revell GR.1 kit with xtradecal set(s).
@@hankrol7830 thank u sir
@@oceanvibesphotography8395 @Han Krol's suggestion is exactly right. It's just a Revell re-boxing after all. Glad you liked the build!
@@ModellingWeekly thanks guys appreciate it
Awesome
that looks so good!!!!
Thank you man. Again, sorry about the video quality :D
Nice
Nice one
Thanks
I’m about too start the build, what was the ratio of paints used is it flat flesh and a light grey or white for the lighter panel shading please? I seem to have missed it. TIA by the way the video and build was quality
Thank you man! The panel shading was done by adding white to the flat flesh. Technically this isn't great, as it loses saturation, but it wasn't too bad in the end
@@ModellingWeekly thanks mate appreciate your help and quick reply 👍🏻
Thinking about picking this up for 20 euros, is it worth it?
Seems to be roughly what they go for these days, so sounds good to me :)
Hello modelling weekly nice photo etched parts nice model jet aircraft. I like this panavia Tornado Desert Babes looking good. The Royal Air Force Roundel. 🔘🔘🇬🇧🇬🇧⭐🌟❤️
Thank you very much! 😄
Is the nose the original or an aftermarket?
Original with the Eduard kit 🙂
A lovely build, especially that cockpit, it’s a pity this kit suffers from the same problem as almost every Tornado kit produced, that god awful nose leg with the double torque link, only the very early Tornado’s had them and the RAF replaced most of them with the newer single link leg fairly early on.
Thanks mate, glad you liked it 😄 wasn't aware of the landing gear issue, now that you mention it it's pretty obvious! Bit of a bummer, but not the end of the world. Oh well!
The Desert Storm Tornadoes, with their Viz cartoon characters (like Johnny Fartpants or Buster Gonad and his unfeasibly large testicles) were great modelling subjects. I’m not sure if anyone ever made separate decal sets for them.
It's little details like the origins of the cartoon characters (in this case from the Viz adult comic) that add so much interest to the finished kit, many non UK residents, or those who live in the UK but are under a certain age probably wouldn't recognise Buster Gonad or Sid the Sexist etc, or understand how popular Viz was in the mid 80's and 90's.
Video quality fine now.
Brilliant!
This color is closer to original, but still yelow tonge. MR made "original" MRP-185.
look at the manufacturer and you will see how it should really look.
You are not the first, you are still making mistakes as modellers
RAF desert-pink with British land sand color👎
FS10279 gloss is also used, it had to be painted over with matte varnish, or it is used
similar to US desert sand FS30279😉
Overall clean work👍
you made a constructive criticism and and he didn¨t bother to answer to you , maybe he didn¨t like of your constructive criticism, shame on him.
@@carlosdavid3054 Desert pink has a real pink tint, few years old videos are in 4K on RUclips. Search "RAF Tornado Flies in ‘Desert Pink’ to Mark 25 Years on Operations Mach Loop"...Old videos from the 90s or photos have a yellow or blue filter, the result is a completely wrong color
It feels like the model is a 48 scale to me but it is 72 scale
I guess I'll take that as a compliment lol. It does look quite big on camera! 😄
u do A levels atm, u sound way older :)
I get that a lot lol
Hello
Never heard if micro sol and decal soft stinking before! I've just had a smell of mine and nothing? Never thought they smelt but my AMMO ones they do but there rubbish! Definitely not recommend they don't do nothing to melt the decals to seat right! Lucky I always have micro sol but they smell like acrylic thinners really nothing there to smell!
That's really odd! My micro set has a pungent vinegary smell, and the sol is ok, it smells a bit like wood glue to me lol.
Edgyuward? "Ed-wah-D"
Dee-cal, deck-al?
Vah-eh-ho, Vaye-ho?
TamiyA, TamIya?
...Edu-ard, Ed-ward?
Let's agree to disagree lol
@@ModellingWeeklydécal, actually, it's an French abbreviation. And for that reason alone, they'll always be water-slide transfers 😂
"reboxed revell". I'm out. I'd sooner build a whole squadron of Tamiya 1/48 Sea Harriers than touch another Revell kit. 😂
see if you can guess who I am
No clue
@@ModellingWeekly fair enough
You don't say "deck-culls" so it's an automatic "Like" and Subscribe.
😂 haha! Thank you man
It's sucks no piolots
Didn't come with pilots I'm afraid. Not too interested in them though, they hide all of that beautiful cockpit detail
