BUT he was for many years the voice behind DEN HARROW, (who mimed till much later on). So "Den Harrow " was male model Stefano Zandri, with Tom Hooker's voice!
It's incredible. Totally Time Travel. who would imagine in 1986 that 35 years later we would see this and commented on by its protagonist in a little screen on the hands.
Hello Tom, i know you'll read my comment so i take advantage o sayng you hello and to thank you your beautiful music, and your the best lin live performance!👍👍
I'm not gay , but I'm sure Tom looks just as good as Stefano , heck there are singers who don't look anything special yet they are the front figure on all the records.
@@thomasbarbey9316 Hi! I just picked something car related.. don't we all like italian cars lol , I wasn't aiming to become a high profile youtuber anyways. Cheers
..... io e hooker non siamo mai andati daccordo, ma devo dire sinceramente che in questa performance ha davvero fatto centro con la sua voce... sopratutto nel finale... ottimo davvero e complimenti
One thing I'll never get is why would anyone come up with the dumb ass idea of having a model lip sync to your voice when you are a hundred times better looking than he ever was or is.... it baffles me.
Hi Tee... In the 80s, we did several musical projects... We never knew what song would be a hit. The public would decide, not us. "Future Brain", the first single with my voice and the third, for the project "Den Harrow" was a hit. We found out after the release. Once it was his face, and not mine, we couldn't just change the face or the name, like we did the voice. People never forget a face but there are many musical bands that were successful with a different singer. I was signed to a different record company anyway, at that time who gave me permission to do the Den Harrow project but not a record under my name. I also had a very successful career with my face, so I really cannot complain. I was very lucky and doing just fine... I just left the scene in 1994, to do other things in my life and had a great time doing them. I see life as a journey and I was not the type of person to repeat myself constantly doing the same thing over and over again just for financial gain.
@@thomasbarbey9316 Thank you, dear Tom for the heartfelt reply to a point that I am certain thousands wonder about. The fact remains, we all know who made those songs and who sang them. The face and name surely made a brand, but you will always be the heart and soul of those songs, face and all.
@@thomasbarbey9316 Hi sir, my favorite song with "Den Harrow" is Mad Desire , are you the singer of that song too? I have read that Silvio Pozzoli might be the singer .. Thanks :)
@@farerse "Mad Desire" was for the most part a 12" Disco Mix for Deejays and came out with "Gong" records, a very small label from a distribution company owned by Salvatore Annunziata. It did very well for a 12" and it was sung by Silvio Pozzoli. When, Turatti and Chieregato made a deal with Baby Records, a more powerful company, the head of the company (Freddy Naggiar) wanted a singer who spoke fluent English. I sang and co-wrote "Future Brain" and it was a hit in 1985. When we had to do the album, we couldn't have all the songs with one voice in perfect English and suddenly a different voice with an accent on the song "Mad Desire". I re-sang the song "Mad Desire" very quickly in the studio, for the album. The CDs and cassettes all had the version with my voice and the sales where in the millions as opposed to thousands of Disco mixes. The large majority of people heard the version with my voice on their Cds and cassettes because the Disco Mixes, at that time, where a product for the professional deejays... Today, however, all the Italo fans and collectors prefer the version with Silvio's voice because he is a much better singer than me, of course, and the most important fact is; he is Italian. I'm just another American singer and there is nothing special about that. Everybody knows that "Italians do it better."
@@thomasbarbey9316 Wow thanks for the lengthy reply, I'm pretty sure I have distinguished two different versions with different voices. It makes sense because I remember how the 12 version sounds like Silvio, having heard other songs by him I recognize his voice. I can't say which singer is better , I like you both! :) The overall melody and sounds in Mad desire are amazing. Thanks and happy new year
no doubt, tom hooker is a great singer but ... only a good singer, a bad performer, he gave Den Harrow his voice but the performer on stage is Den Harrow, nobody else, Tom Hooker cannot dance, he is only a studio singer with a great voice ...
With this reasoning every singer who doesn't dance would only be a studio singer? Michael Bolton, Phil Collins, Lucio Dalla etc... etc... The large majority of singers just sing....and that is enough.... I am and was a songwriter and a musician... lyrics and music. Is Den Harrow a famous singer or a famous dancer? Nureyev and Carla Fracci were dancers. Den Harrow was a mime. You cannot campare a singer with a mime. To be more correct, you can compare Den Harrow to Marcel Marceau, not another singer.
Feliz por ter vivido essa época. Anos 80❤
Perfect ❤
I love this song and forever who agrees with me? 💞💞💞
There's only a few italo disco people who actually ever performed live. Tom was one of them. Great performance!
And that's because he's a talented singer. Really good. :)
what about Den Harrow LOL

Très sexy ! :)
Hair choices 🤔 But such a fantastic tune that still sounds fresh today 🔥
35 anni ma sembra ieri. Inossidabile questa hit. Poi cantata dal vivo, una rarità per l'epoca si usava sempre il playback. Grande Tom!

The Den Harrow voice...
It's so obvious it's amazing people didn't hear that at the time.
This is so awesome. I hope Tom can find and post more live performances from this era. Totally separates and puts him in a whole other level!!!

Better than Thomas Anders (who actually "sing" regularly in Poland, always with hard playback). This is real, this is italo
Yet Tom Hooker is copying Thomas Anders in facial expressions here. 😂😂😂😂 you little 🤡🤡🤡
Thomas Anders doesn't need playback he can still sing very good.
host is visibly jealous, so funny
voglio la sua giacca
