Ian is more talented than all the other hot rod custom car people put together because he does it from scratch like it's supposed to be not out of box form or buying a kit he does it straight through his thought pattern and he is very intelligent God bless you and you're awesome brother
Ian and I are the same age. I hold on to my 20+ year old rides. I would love to custom my 98 TJ Wrangler Sport. Particularly the frame to a truck or tube frame/ exoskeleton.
Tom Medley's Rod and Custom V Rod by Ken Fuller was the 1st Volkswagen dune buggy. My version was a Anderson Industries T Bucket with an extended bed. Buick V6, Maverick V8 rear on the front half of a '32 frame with a Pete & Jake 4 bar front axle. 3 versions of the same car!
Being in Hot VW is the crowning glory. Always had that dream too but neither of my 2 bugs were worthy lol. I had a 71 and 75. The 75 was while I was in Berlin with the Army.
I love it that's a bad ass dune ɓuggy my dad was a Mason and he had a dune buggy they drove them in the parades here in new Orleans it was called the bug patrol they looked alot like the other dune buggy but under the top part like all the other buggy there's had a side skirt that fit between the front and back wheels it really cleaned up the whole look of the body I know when they built it they cut the floor pan 14 or 141/2 inches it was really good looking I loved the chrome reverse rims with the baby moon hub caps same rims I had on my first car.
I've been wanting to build a dune buggy. Actually a Myers Manx. But even a trash wagon is so damn expensive! I'm thinking you are on the right track. What about a t bucket frame. Easy enough to build. Suspension, front would be a non dropped straight axle with a buggy spring. Rear? I wonder what's lighter, a small block Ford V8, or a Ford 300 inline 6?...
I'm disappointed I was hoping you were going to use what was the left of the Sterling body to make the dune buggy out of. It would have been a lot cooler than the t bucket!
O vídeo é bom, só tem um problema: 99 % dos vídeos e ele falando e 10% e colocando a mão na massa. Se torna chato e cansativo. O verdadeiro propósito do vídeo fica a desejar.
I don't know why there aren't 200,000+ followers on this cool channel. Ian's fabrication skills and imagination are quite remarkable.
Totally over the top!! Well Done Ian!!
Man what I like about you is you see something that's not there yet then you build something that we would all love to OWN see you on the next one

You are missed Sir 🎉 There has never been a shop inspector like you and never will be 🎉🎉🎉🎉
When you get the silent treatment, it's the silent (but deadly) treatment! 😂I love all of your work and your attitude, too, brother.

Dog: ' You're boring me dad, I wanna go play. ' 😂🐶
Sweet build!
I am a little concerned about the frot spring mount, but it seems to be working!
That is very impressive taking nothing making something that goes into a magazine we all know and love.
Darnit, Ian, you are too dang adorable. 😻😻❤😻😻❤❤❤❤
Used to use modded VeeDub steering on our dirt track cars. Works great!

The only thing cooler would be rear steering and a fixed front setup! That would be pretty wild.
I acquired a 1972 home built dune buggy, would love your opinion on what's next. Can I send pics Amy way?
VW Kit Car was sold in Auastralia as Purvis Eureka.
I forgot about this build 😝 really cool but the small pivot point on the front end concerns me 🧐
sir, it's "His Royal Hind-ness"
You didn’t did you paint that pretty dog / awesome buggy some lighted buggy whips! Maybe some front fenders as to not eating sand 👍✌️❤️

How do you get a home built like yours titled and papered without having to comply with EPA b/S???
looks like a wheelie machine.

I hope you put some straps in to keep your front axle from rotating too far, could put you in a world of hurt.
