      It is one of the hardest sports I’ve ever done. I wrestled in high school. Morning workouts 5 then school till 2:45 practice at 3:30 but you really have to be there at 3:15 warming up cause you have to run 2 miles before 2 1/2 hour practice. • @UNITDW
      @UNITDW 3 года назад +26

      @@JohnLennon-yg4ut Boxing and wrestling conditioning are completely different things, you use constant static strength in wrestling as opposed to irregular dynamic strength in boxing. It’s like the difference between lifting heavy weights constantly for 7 minutes and punching the bag. Someone who can lift heavy weights for 7 minutes won’t be able to go 12 rounds on the bag and vice versa, but the conditioning to do 12 rounds on the bag is less strenuous than the conditioning to lift for that long. Idk if that made sense but it explains the differences between the two. I’ve competed in boxing and have trained in wrestling, BJJ and Muay Thai and wrestling is by far the hardest physically.

    Wrestling maybe be the most toughest from a fatigue and effort point of view. But it's also the least rewarding physical sport, financially and popularity wise. It's still no way near the "hurts game" known as fighting from winning and lossing in front of thousands or millions of ppl. One can potentially wrestle everyday with some injuries but you can't fight every day without serious downfall like permanently disability from waist down or death from a fight.

    Old guy story here about how hard wrestling is...
    Age 11, 3rd tae Kwon do class and for 3000 years prior, my ancestors kicked eachother in the face for sport and some random guy broke his leg...
    6 years later, I broke mine on the wrestling mat, in a sloppy heavyweight scramble on the feet into the floor...
    Living as an emaciated teen in a tweeker pad I hated, the doctor said I had almost no vitamins in my body at all...
    20 years later, I'm such a monster in beast mode, doctor said at age 19 I would never get osteoporosis for 100 years, I got that strong and more for years- then covid happened. ...
    No training for almost 2 years from Achilles snap and then covid shut downs of gyms...
    I Went back to wrestle 2 weeks ago...
    I almost broke my neck from shooting head first into a chest that snapped my neck sideways all loud...
    I NEVER REALIZED HOW HARD WRESTLING IS !

All low guard aspects of fighting do not exist in boxing, therefore it is not fighting only exhibition of hands vs. hands.
