i have realized 3 things about sm64ds from this 1. wow it really is better than the original 2. nostalgia 3. i wish we had a proper analog control patch for it - edit: i’ll try it eventually. i had heard someone who tried the analog patch that it didn’t feel right to them. also, i feel that the aquarium death is too forced
So one funny thing I discovered on the remake… In the secret level “Over The Rainbows”, if you die by losing all your health, you’d fall in that river outside the castle like if you fell off the level except you’ll have one health point. If you let all your health regain before touching the surface, that counts as losing a life…!
I have 64 DS on my R4 Card and I love it. One of my favourite deaths is getting trapped underneath a bridge in Lethal Lava Land or the Chill Bully platform in Snowman's Land. The character repeatedly screams as you're being teleported out of the level. It's especially funny with Mario, kinda sounds like he's laughing lmao
0:34 I didn’t know you could go into paintings while dying! This could be used for a strat somehow. Maybe someone will use this for a ROM hack where you land on a coin to recover from using that trick.
It’d be nice if Wario appeared in more mainline Mario games again, as far as I know, isn’t this the only technically mainline Mario game where you can play as Wario? And then after that he hasn’t appeared in a mainline Mario game ever since, even Wario’s own series like the Wario Land series & Warioware series has been kinda dormant, it would also be nice for Donkey Kong to appear in more mainline Mario games too and Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze released during the Wii U time period and got a rerelease on the Switch, so even Donkey Kong’s own series has been kinda dormant, and King K. Rool needs to make a comeback for the next DK game or maybe he could even get to appear in a Mario game in case the next mainline Mario game allows you to go to DK island.
I wanted to point this out. There's a funny death as well. Or if you collect 100 coin, you can actually die by falling off the cliff. You still get the star but for some reason you die

If you upscale before uploading the quality will be much higher because it uses more bandwidth for the same amount of data. That way you won't get all those compression artifacts. I recommend recording losslessly and uploading a lossless video in the highest resolution possible.
