Wow, I thought the last one was pretty, that's just bonkers! What absolutely stunning country.
Hey Scotty do you by chance have a google maps link to this area?
Great video in beautiful country. Dead set, you have to learn how to fly fish!
@Scotty’s Gone Walkabouts what hat are you wearing please?
I’ve just woken to a grey, cold, rainy day in a lockdown London. Nothing better to start the day than to Immerse yourself in the Aussie landscapes by our favourite explorer. Cheers Scotty 🍻 - Andy
Look after yourself over in the UK Andy.👍🇦🇺🍺
Life changed, we used to watch only TV, now it’s more RUclips Netflix and TV.
You are a big part of our RUclips evening’s, thank you very much Scotty!
Greetings from the Netherlands
stopped watching tv all together ,utube and radio has it all.Normally im not much at home anyways.Love Scottys adventures Thanks ! Greetings from the netherlands
Tomorrow is International Men's Day when we celebrate the positive contributions of men & positive male role models. This fits the bill.
Tomorrow it’s my birthday as well :)
@@EdmundoAyarzagoitia happy belated birthday my guy!
And down by Kosciusko, where the pine-clad ridges raise
Their torn and rugged battlements on high,
Where the air is clear as crystal, and the white stars fairly blaze
At midnight in the cold and frosty sky,
And where around the Overflow the reed -beds sweep and sway
To the breezes, and the rolling plains are wide,
The man from Snowy River is a household word today,
And the stockmen tell the story of his ride.
Been there many many times and visited the grave of the man who inspired Banjo to write that poem .His name is Jack Riley and his grave is in the Corryong Cemetery. There was movement at the Station for the word had passed around that a colt from old Regret had got away and he'd joined the wild bush horses he was worth a thousand pounds and all the cracks had gathered to the fray
I was going to refer to him as 'Clancy of the Overflow'! Well done. 🐴🏞️
And Clancy of the overflow came down to lend a hand, no better horseman ever held the reins, for never horse could throw him while the saddle girths would stand, he learned to ride while droving on the plains. The mountain spoken of that the man rides down is Mt Leatherbarrel and to this day they say that Jack Riley is the only man to ever ride down it ,you should go walkabout up there Scotty there is a lot of history in that country I've been camping and fishing up there for over 50 years and I just love the place
@El Guapo mas macho It's an amazing place freezing cold in winter with a lot of snow and it can be hot as hell in the summer vast open plains and high mountain peaks ,and just the Kosciuszko national park covers an area of 6,900 km square Kilometres with many rivers ,streams and lakes with some fantastic Trout fishing for Brown ,Rainbow and Brook Trout .In the south western boundary it adjoins the Victorian Alpine National Park which covers another 6,474 Square Kilometres so it's a very large piece of country .
That area you camped in is hands down my favourite spot in Australia so far, and I've seen a fair bit of it. Woke up one night to my own Brumby encounter there with a lone mare sniffing my swag then laying down next to the coals until the sun came up. Such a magical place that makes you feel alive.
"What more could the heart of a man desire"? Scotty, if you had not spoken another word for the remainder of the video, you would have said it all at that moment. Be well. All the best from Colorado, Roger
The four horses at around 29:30 stopping in unison and then leaving as they came was like something out of a movie! Truly a beautiful scene. Thank you for this.
Reckon that was a baby maggie Scotty, still had its baby feathers, fresh out the nest. Mum probably wasn't far away. Awesome vid!
Thinking the same. Just about to learn to fly. Very vulnerable at that stage.
Not sure why is not ok for a few thousand horses to roam free amongst the wilderness... yet it is ok to heard millions of cattle over vast lands to slaughter and eat its flesh, drink its milk and make shoes/clothes from its skin... sounds rather hypocritical to be honest... afterall, they are no way any more damaging than the car you used to drive there or the industries that clothed and fed you. Makes me mad when people make silly adhoc comments...
@@-Awareness and 12 subs, you going places dude, you're nothing but a troll sitting in a dark room with no friends!
@@-Awareness Horse hooves totally chew up the landscape. Australian topsoil is very thin.
They also make a huge mess of every water edge they have access to.
@@edwardfletcher7790 what about the damage humans do to the landscape...roads, towns, cities......?
Your cinematography is honestly second to none! Having a beer and watching this after a long shift... nothing better
A humble advocate for our beautiful country. Thanks mate.
The land around Bluewaterholes is where I feel most whole. Serendipity and serenity.
Holy sh*t dude!! Your editing, the consistency and quality of each shot, music are all off the scale! Incredible how much energy you put into this. Really beautiful to watch, I can only imagine how it would be even better in real life!
You do more for Aussie tourism than any politician ever did. Thank you.
ATM my wanderings are lived vicariously though you.
Cheers mate.
Wow! The intro was amazing! All those roos so close and comfortable with you being there... I've never seen such chilled out wild roos before.
The quality of your videos is as good as any nature documentary I've ever seen.
Beyond priceless.
Pertinent quote left in visitor's log.
State of origin or Scotty
Scotty wins
Heck yeah! My favourite RUclipsr just posted!
Haha thanks legend!
Beautiful country Scotty! Seeing those mobs of brumbies reminded me of 'The Man From Snowy River'. That was my favorite movie as a young feller. Cheers from Canada
Terrific again Scotty... Captivated by how you document Australia 👍👍
Cheers mate!
The little magpie at the end with grey feathers was healthy, he was just a youngin. Just finding his feet and slowly losing his grey fluff. Love watching your videos mate.
Beautiful countryside buddy, I wish Scotland has the weather you guys do... We have the countryside but lacking in the sun department lol. A little tip for you when crossing the rivers tie your laces together and hang your boots over your shoulders it keeps both your hands free in case you need them... This is why the British Royal marines are called boot necks keep up the good work buddy and N.B I didn't get a notification for this video and I watch all of your videos
Because, everybody is using GoPro these days, the idea of making a cinematic style footage like keeping the camera and pass through it becomes so boring when you realize it that you have a GoPro camera and you just do it for the sake of creating a cinematic footage and it is boring to come back again to pick up the camera. But hats off for the efforts Put in to create the footage
its a baby magpie!! when they're learning to fly it seems they are not doing anything or they look like they are in trouble, THEYRE NOT..mumma is always watching
Currawongs do the same thing. Fledglings take a while to learn to fly and strengthen their wings. I'm sure many well intentioned people have tried to rescue young birds that don't need it. Glad Scotty left it alone.
Beautiful videos! Loved seeing the horses! Great job! I'm watching all of your older shows now while avoiding our Texas heat wave.
It's 27 years since i was last in Aus, i'd love to take my daughter camping out there, as i did as a young man.. Great vid, keep em rollin mate.. Love from the Isle of Skye..
Return mate. Return.
WOW Scotty, this would have to be one of your best....... Well Done
Just when I thought you wouldn’t top the last video for location and beauty. Here you have excelled again Scotty. Just fantastic mate. Your work is amazing. Keep up the great info and content mate. Your a true inspiration.
Epic mate. Did a weekend camping trip in the Blueys this weekend passed. Real connection to that country. Lucky place we live in. Cheers for the vibes!
wow, that was awesome... you out did yourself :) I'm an Australian (avid hiker) living in the US for the past 10 years. Currently in the Pacific North West. Love to see your cinematography and really enjoy the pace of your content. . . plus reminds me of home 🌏🦘
Thanks Scotty! Your video skills are amazing. Another thing on horses, as much as we love them, they help weed spread in a number of ways. Horse's have teeth top and bottom, so they tend to nibble grasses to the root in a similar way to sheep. In drought times this leaves areas of bare earth which aids weed germination and growth when rains do come. Generally speaking in National Parks we should have close to zero weed species. State forests should be managed this way as well, but they are often neglected by governments. I walked parts of the Hume and Hovel track to the north of where you are in this vid. Much of the walk was through enormous weed fields due to neglect. The additional biomass from weed growth also helps promote tree top fires as well, because of the increased mid level vegetation. This allows for fires to jump into tree tops easier than normal. Well done with this vid. I am enthusiastic about a trip to the high country in 2021!
Funny to see the Aussie guy with a Jeep, and here I am in the US dying for a Land Cruiser or a Rover! I dream of traversing the outback in a Land Rover like the Bush Tucker Man!
The classic brumbies of the high country like something out of man for snowy river amazing shots mate......
As beautiful as it was while you were up there, the lean on the trees tell a story of how brutal it can be.
Hi Scotty I have spent many years walking fishing canoeing through the same country as featured in your videos it’s so pleasing to see it again with someone’s else as taken by it as me safe travels
Amazing video mate. Your words at 16min are true and heartfelt. Resonated deep with me and I'm sure thousands of more people. Thank you mate.
Wow! The Snowy's look spectacular! People make a big deal about Australia's outback (which are definitely epic) but the High Country is our best kept secret. I've never seen these gorges in photos or books before. It looks like the area gets more horse visitors than human. That's probably a good thing, human's would wreak 1000% more havoc.
Its just incredible! Ide be filming more than the walk Its Just That Good! Thanks again mate, Bush Tv.
I would pay to tag along on a trip like this, truly amazing!
Love your videos. I do a fair amount of camping in the US, but I love seeing the beauty of Australia!! Keep showing people around the world, and even those there that maybe haven't appreciated it, the beauty of your country!
The peregrine falcon wasn't happy with you, must have a nest on the cliffs there.
Nice vid ✌
This is some of the coolest aussie youtube I have seen. I live in canada now and miss aus like nothing else. To say you have hit the spot of what i miss is an understatement. Thank you!
You did it justice Scotty. It’s the only way to truly see this place. You got to walk it. Love every video of yours I watch, but this particular video was something really special. Thank you 👍
Outstanding videos. A real tonic in lockdown London.
Absolutely love Ur vids. I binge watch them whenever I get the chance. Puts me in such a good mood, appreciating this beautiful planet and all the incredible things it shares with us. Love doing my own exploring whenever I get the chance, but when I'm busy working and being a mum, atleast I can live vicariously through you! Never stop ❤️
Awesome trip! Thanks so much for taking us along.

This was an amazing place, thanks for sharingScotty ! Being around wild horses and all, brought a few tears to my eyes, imagining myself there, wow! That would be such a thrill!
Been a long time since I've seen Cave creek flowing upstream of the waterhole. Thanks for the video mate, you've got me keen to head back up there next weekend!
Thank you for taking me on this journey. An insight into your world. It is absolutely inspiring!
You have done an absolutely marvellous job of filmimg our wonderous country. Thanks so much.
Good one Scotty. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Hey Scotty,
Another outstanding hike & vid.
Nothing hippy about it mate. Reconnecting to mother earth is essential and very emotional as you feel the spirit take you.
Awesome man. Happy trails.

Superb place, IMO one of the most beautiful places that I have seen in your videos. Thank you for sharing it.
Great content mate. What a beautiful place.❤👍🇦🇺
We definitely have an Awesome country, thanks for your videos, and the relaxing music you choose to accompany your adventures.👍❤️
Hello mate, i am glad that you are back.
Absolutely epic mate 🙌🏻 enjoyed every minute, looking forward to your next one, atb, Matt 👍🏻
I think this is the first vid since the fires where there was wildlife moving about, and it was good to see the green recovering. Thanks for a beautiful look!
Love your work Scotty. Absolute legend.
Bloody ripper vid Scotty. Gods country. Seriously one of your best. Had a bit of everything. Great editing skills. I enjoyed a nice gold beer watching this one. Waiting for the apple crumble for desert lol. Cheers
Absolutely beautiful!!! one of the nicest place that you have filmed. A gift from Pacha Mama. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome country in that high- country Scotty. Extremely well captured by you as your photography skills keep getting better mate. Those brumbies are in good nick coming out of winter. More of these please. Bushyboy Oz.
Absolutely loved the video Scotty, and your jeep!
It's strange seeing a Jeep actually being used off road in Australia. 95% of off-road vehicles here are Japanese. Jeeps are normally limited to the school run !
Another great video, thanks Scotty
Awesome mate, great country down there , I understand what you mean about sleeping with the brumbies around, they make some noise at night its a bit nerve racking. Another great video and good to see the jeep make an appearance 👍👍👍
Cheers Shad 🍻
This episode is epic Scotty!! There was something so romantic, peaceful and tranquil about it, I'm thinking maybe it reminds me of The Man From Snowy River movie. All through this video I was thinking of all the great things I wanted to comment on, now I'm lost for words, I can't remember what I wanted to say LOL.... other than I loved it so much, your work is getting better and better. PERFECTION, well done. Ps, I love our great big open country we have, wish I could go trekking down there now. Love ya work, thanks bro
Great sentiment in the visitors book Scotty. Poetic.
Stunning country and a fantastic video. Well done, mate
Thanx Scotty, as a man who grew up around the desert style lands of Broken Hill, I very much appreciate your videos. I could smell the fresh earth as you opened your tent to the morning. Love your work Scotty.
