- The long overdue update on my E46 sedan is here. My 21 year old E46 is back on it's feet... I mean wheels, under it's own power again, thanks to another engine swap! Yes another, because this car was swapped previously. This is the 2nd M54B30, but it's better than the last one. In this video, I go over the upgrades that I've done to this motor, some of which you might want to consider if you choose to rebuild an M54B30 without diving too deep into it, such as new pistons & such.

My vert (along with my X5) is currently my mile muncher while I return the sedan back to form. I still want to enjoy the convertible top for the time being, and once I get the sedan back to form, I’ll more than likely sell the vert!
Nice e46! I have myself 1998 bmw 318i e46 sedan the m43s are so strong engines they never leak and die, only i had overheating problem but that got fixed ,yall didn´t get the 318i e46 in the Usa. Greeting from Estonia!
M43s are shit. 4cyl e46s are dog slow.

I will more than likely repaint it in the future, instead of wrapping. I personally like the shine and depth of paint compared to wrap.

More power is something I’d still like to have, but now just wasn’t the right time for me. But, with most of the preventative maintenance done, more power can be added in the future…🤔
