Our Beloved Community in Iowa | 12th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast

Throughout his life and his work as a Baptist minister, writer, activist, and champion of civil rights and social justice, Dr. King was guided by his vision of the Beloved Community-a world rooted in love free of poverty, discrimination, or division.
The YMCA's 12th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Prayer Breakfast brought together members from our community to celebrate Dr. King's legacy and promote his message of peace, justice, and opportunity for all. This year's theme, "Everyone Deserves a Place to Call Home," centered on Dr. King's fight for housing justice and the obstacles we continue to face today in the quest to ensure everyone in our community has access to safe, secure, and affordable housing.
