Hey there!
Welcome to my channel, The Nature Patch where I like to share all things gardening, cooking, environmental science and flower farming in my Australian bushland backyard in south coast NSW.
My name is Robyn, an environmental scientist, and flower farmer. I have recently completed my PhD in understanding how people's wellbeing and their connection to nature is impacted by land use change but now I'm taking a break from research to pursue a dream of owning a flower farm. I've always loved gardening and nature and lately have been interested in growing my own organic food!
On this channel you'll find videos relating to garden tours, 'how to' videos, composting, soil health and how to start a flower farm.
I try to upload twice a week and I hope you enjoy!!

Aww exciting news Robyn. Congratulations! I have loved being a mama to my 2 boys - now 20 and 17 yo, and we still 'hang' in the family garden talking, laughing and eating. Our garden is a place where we call home, we connect, we come together, have our celebrations, and also share with friends. It's certainly my happy place.

I’m really happy for you Robyn, and I’m a hundred percent in agreement with you about cooler weather. Where I live we have basically lost Autumn, but it’s finally become cooler this past week, with max temperatures falling below 20 degrees. So happy!

It's totally possible to continue gardening through pregnancy. I've done so twice. Even ended up a 9 foot ladder installing things in the ceiling when 8.5 months pregnant. Don't be stupid like me, but it's entirely possible to keep being yourself through pregnancy (when you have the energy 😆).

Congratulations Robyn and Scott, I'm thrilled that you are adding to your little family. Excited to see where your next move will be also. I'm very much enjoying the cold, our move from WA to tassie last year was the best choice we made and now we actually get to have cold weather! My garden is doing well, I built some trellises and planted peas and have a lot of other veggies in over winter, we shall see how things go. I also planted so many bulbs! Daffodils are my favourite so I'm excited to be able to grow them properly here.
