Holy crap, I didn't expect a rhythm game-style video from 4096. The flow and transitions between the various rhythm games are so mesmerizing to watch. Not to mention the special touches like added sound effects, the VR shake in the Beat Saber clip, all while still keeping a consistent monochromatic art style. This is art. Pure art.
its easily avoidable with modding or smooth camera built into the game. Its really not an issue for a game like beat saber as long as you know how to configure stuff

I love how in this, it's not just the visuals of the game, but you can hear the *audio cues* of games that have them in the background. The drums of taiko, the silly Trombone Champ horn sound, the slashes of Beat Saber and so much more. I absolutely LOVE this.
The dedication to the variety of rhythm games (and the visuals of each game too) is crazy dude, I guess you could say 4096 tried to make sure they *didn't miss a beat* Each segment flows into the next so nicely, and that Beat Saber clip at 1:33 is sick

Not quite, but it's not bad. The combo was at 190 after the Groove Coaster segment and then is at 110 when the osu! segment starts, but the combo is consistent before and after Rhythm Doctor/ADOFAI.
This is such an incredible love letter to rhythm games. I’ve been subscribed for a while because as an editor myself, I’ve always appreciated how perfectly your transitions flow with the beat of the music in all of your videos. So it makes sense that you’re also an avid rhythm game fan, yet it’s still quite a surprise to see such a well made homage to one of my favorite genres. (Also I absolutely love the WACCA shoutout, probably my favorite rhythm game period and yet it is so underrated.) This is such a good video and I’m going to watch it a hundred times now thank you

Imagine a rhythm game that constantly changes style and you just have to keep up with it all the way through the song. If it was random which style it changed to, it'd be nearly impossible to beat, but oh so satisfying and beautiful to watch.

it would be a pain to make the transitions work with custom charts. just look at rhythm heaven's custom charts, they're FULL of stuff like unintuitive transition triggers(not for players but for mappers themselves as the game was never meant to be modded). the name is easier to think of though something like super rhythm crossover IIDX XL Deluxe & KNUCKLES Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry™ Series

The universe of the rhythm games… I used to love playing it but not anymore now. Ever since then I watched a lot of videos featuring various games from beatmania, Dance Dance Revolution, Pump It Up, Cytus, maimai, Audiosurf, Guitar Hero, Beatstar, Tap Tap, and even much more, so much I couldn't mention one of my long lost favorites.

Some of these transitions are just genius having the Groove Coaster line condense into the heartbeat monitor from Rhythm Doctor was my favorite.
