From a really young age Taemin was inspired by MJ so can probably see influences in this mv....but Taemin has taken his craft to a whole knew level especially since move and made a knew genre...and then came criminal which blew everyone outta the water with his artistry and concept( which was his idea)...this man is pure art in the finest form and I cant wait to see what he brings to the industry after military...saying that, everyone you see in kpop are mostly influenced by SHINee and Taemin at this stage because they are basically the blueprint of PERFECTION, from vocals, live performances and knew concepts, but SM chose Taemin to debut at an extremely young age to take the the industry to the next level....which is Danger, I hope you continue on the path to discover the genre which is Tpop. .I recommend you watch Famous mv and dance practice next...it's true artistry

There is a bts somewhere where he mentioned being nervous and unsure of suddenly changing the image his fans were used to, but seemed kind of excited to try something new. He had very little control around his debut, but his recent albums, he had a lot more say with the style, production, directing and choreo.
I’m not sure if I would describe it as “very little” control. When he debuted, the theme and styling choices were reminiscent of a lot of his solo stages in SHINee concerts. At that point, I’m sure creative control was a strong component in SHINee’s contract. I do think SM would want more control in his first debut, especially considering Taemin was the first soloist from SM’s core groups. However, I would be surprised if Taemin wasn’t assertive about his opinions and ideas. I would also say SM solos have done a really good job reflection the soloist’s individual colour, and I definitely agree his creative control has significantly increased from then to now.

Watch his stage at the Toyko Dome I'm your Boy Shinee IV. It was a cultural shift and a major achievement since SM Entertainment was not known to debut solo artists. Taemin is the only artist to have a solo career while still promoting in a group(s), Shinee and SuperM.
I lost count on how much I watched the MV back then. At some point I knew the complete choreo without ever dancing it. Taemin once admitted that he isn't the biggest fan of the song's production, which is kind of sad. I really like Danger and the whole album as well.
@@rjkpop Taemin said the song wasn't well mixed :D He is a perfectionist - for the NGDA album he had 12 versions of one song made before he was completely satisfied. And, for example, Idea has a stage version, which has a more dramatic and epic ending than the album version.

I’ve been a fan of SHINee since 2008 and yes, Danger was different to everything else that was happening around that time in kpop. It felt like Taemin’s personal take on hyper masculinity, and like he was shedding away his maknae image. Thank you for reacting to SHINee & Taemin! I'm not sure if it's been said, but when Taemin debuted as a solo artist with Danger, he was the first in the entire company to do something like this. SM has had other solo artists, but they've been solo artists from the start (like BoA or Kangta), rather than in a group and doing solo work while still in the group. Considering at the time, Taemin was one of the youngest artists in the company when he did all this is so mind-boggling to me haha. not sure if someone else answered, but most of the dance practice is i'm pretty sure in seoul--it's the same room that shinee's dance practice for everybody was shot in, and that was from 2013. but as you will see, all the versions of taemin's "press your number" video (and the "drip drop" video, i am fairly certain) are shot in la/southern california.
Ihopefully the next one will be Crazy by Jonghyun, the second member to debut solo 2 months after Taemin, and after Key with One of Those Nights, Onew with Blue and finally Minho I am Home. Taemin's album is ACE, Jonghyun is BASE, Key is Face and Onew is Voice, it's a game that Jonghyun started when he imitated Taemin's concept album and said that way they were connected even when they were doing something outside of SHINee and so rested from the members continued the tradition, we are still waiting for the Choice album of Minho which should be released in December if the rumors are true. , for now Minho only has one solo song funny story, if we think about it ACE has to do with Taemin being a dancing ace, about Jonghyun's Base has to do with his raw talent after all he was much more than a wonderful singer, his talent was deeper, isn't for nothing he wrote, composed and produced Base, at age 24, singing was just a Base, while Key is about Face although Minho is considered the Visual of the group everyone agrees that Key's beauty impresses very much, he even jokes that his position in group is his face kkk but his album is about Facing the fears, now Voice we don't need to say anything Onew has an amazing voice and his hope was that his voice would comfort fans, about Minho many fans thought the album would be called Race because he's very competitive, but I always found Choice more appropriate, especially when in an interview he answered a question about what he liked the most acting or singing, he said both equally, but if he had to choose it would be SHINee and that was His choice for that Choice is more suitable in my opinion, and this surname in the romanticized it is Choi kkk

Ihopefully the next one will be Crazy by Jonghyun, the second member to debut solo 2 months after Taemin, and after Key with One of Those Nights, Onew with Blue and finally Minho I am Home. Taemin's album is ACE, Jonghyun is BASE, Key is Face and Onew is Voice, it's a game that Jonghyun started when he imitated Taemin's concept album and said that way they were connected even when they were doing something outside of SHINee and so rested from the members continued the tradition, we are still waiting for the Choice album
of Minho which should be released in December if the rumors are true. , for now Minho only has one solo song
funny story, if we think about it ACE has to do with Taemin being a dancing ace, about Jonghyun's Base has to do with his raw talent after all he was much more than a wonderful singer, his talent was deeper, isn't for nothing he wrote, composed and produced Base, at age 24, singing was just a Base, while Key is about Face although Minho is considered the Visual of the group everyone agrees that Key's beauty impresses very much, he even jokes that his position in group is his face kkk but his album is about Facing the fears, now Voice we don't need to say anything Onew has an amazing voice and his hope was that his voice would comfort fans, about Minho many fans thought the album would be called Race because he's very competitive, but I always found Choice more appropriate, especially when in an interview he answered a question about what he liked the most acting or singing, he said both equally, but if he had to choose it would be SHINee and that was His choice for that Choice is more suitable in my opinion, and this surname in the romanticized it is Choi kkk

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. So glad u looked into him. Now I can learn with u. =0] Jimin is pals with Taemin. They have a lot in common i hear. So i slowly started to listen to his songs. I love Sayonara Hitori by him. It's beautiful. Hope u checked it out. On 1st listen I did not like Danger. It was not catchy. I do think he a good dancer and he cute. But this song was not for me. Now a month or 2 after its not bad. The song grew on me. It's very in ur face, lol. He is very dangerous I agree. New Taemin bias here. Looking forward to learning more.
