@ChrisdaCEO do you know why there are so many notes in obsession, because they could obstract different notes out of it to create new scents...many of the scents today come from the type of chemistry from old...just because it's old doesn't mean it's not new...you seem to favor blue Chanel...well I think if you do a chemistry break down you will find some of the same notes...Calvin klien cornered the Market in this type of practice...here is a lesson to you young brother from the old you get new....if it wasn't for your uncles or grandfather's records in the basement we wouldn't have hip hop (break beats from the crates) 39 books in the old testament well 3x9=27 which is the number of books in the new testament. obsession was the gold standard in 1986 and it still has my respect today...some day your beloved blue Chanel will be old, and so will you
@@ssm1052 fragrances can only get so advanced an we are almost at the maximum potential when bleu de chanel was made plus I think it was well ahead of its time and its a for sure timeless scent well into 2050 easy
im young (18) and ive been wearing this for probably 2 years here and there and its def a classic scent. recently i found out that michael jackson wore this as well (i think it was the women kind) not completely sure but its a cool feeling to wear a scent that someone so iconic wore during their life. so this is a classic, rich, and spicy scent and highly recommend this! also can you review the Black Orchid fragrance (black and gold bottle by tom ford), its another fragrance mj rocked during 2009 and its honestly one of the best scents ive discovered!
I'm 46 and CK Obsession can clear a room in a bad way amd you may have people telling you to go take a shower to wash the fragrance off of you. Its not a bad scent. It just smells like lit firewood in a fireplace.

Omg you make me feel like I'm really to lay in a coffin. Its a perfect give for a young man. My sons wear this and they smell suffocated and mature. Young man you need some more life lessons calling that a grand dad smell. My sons are 31 and don't follow the normal trend.
It is not for everyone. There is an under tone smell that reminds me of grandma perfume. The top notes are nice, but the base notes are too much imo, too poignant. It is pretty strong but smooth. But definitely not a young mans cologne. Personally i dont like it, if it was softer, it would be perfect. There is just that under note that i just cant stand the smell of. I dont know what it is called.
Smells bad chokingly old women smelling perfume scent bad. I understand back then it was killer. But in 2024 i own a bottle of it ive had since 2013 an its still 90% full an ill never wear it, it only smells good after a 4 hr dry down or in -20 celcius temperature or below

Killer fragrances in 80's were MINOTAURE, ANIMALE, KENZO etc. Obssession was never built neither used for teenagers. And it had another formula - more refined, but great projection. It's a very formal fragrance. The secret is - never overspray it!

This isn’t a young man’s club scent, but it could easily be a nice fall/winter office-to-cozy-night fragrance. It’s very smooth and very nice.

Dude I got a pack of Calvin Klein when I was younger and this came with it and I thought it sucked and I smelt it again recently, and it’s so good
