  • A lovely pair of tunes i heard by two brilliant young musicians Jim Boyle on violin and the briliant melodeon player Dave Gray a couple of years ago.
Heres my interpretation played on a Bernard Loffet AD melodeon.

thanks for sharing with every body your music, in those times where a lot of pleasures hearing music and dancing are missing. From south west France.

Oh the lollipop man has a great big stick,
And he only charges a penny a lick,
And he gets it out whenever he can,
He’s a dirty old bugger is the lollipop man!
The lyrics I learnt as a morris dancer!

Thanks so much for the beautiful tunes. I have finally decided to go for a loffet. I am not yet a player but play other instruments and have been trying to decide which key would suit me best. Every time I hear your A/D it sounds gorgeous . Time to place an order methinks. Thanks for all your uploads.

Good to find you playing an A/D, mine is a Sandpiper and these videos give me more to practice, not exactly the same but near enough!!

Yup, I'm definitely learning this. What's the box's reeds? It sounds great!

Thanks for the reply Derek. Just a couple of questions if that's ok. Is your A/D 2 or 3 voice and with or without thirds. I don't know enough yet to be able to tell. I will give bernard a call with my other questions but hope you can help me with the above . Finally where and when if any is your local session. Thanks again. Jules (woodturnedgifts.com)

It is a 3 voice , with a stop (for low reeds) and I also have a stop to remove thirds on bass (definitely need this) .... so I played this track without bass reeds and thirds on bass. Sessions wise I don't go to any at the moment outside of festivals ... although north hampshire / Berks / Oxfordshire might get a visit in the coming months.
