I don't understand why God allowed my son to take his own life and I won't ever do, but I believe that God stays with me in my lost, and pain, and grief. An I trust that he will never leave me or forsake me, because he promissed that. I pray for all of parents who lost their kids by suicide to be protected, and healed, and comforted by holy God.
Trust me when I say this it may be for better. Who knows what your son was going through. I myself prayed multiple times to God to kill me so I can understand

I'm 21 months clean after 25 years heavy opiate abuse. I'm a former NC police officer. From rookie school to rehab. I'm homeless and when I wake up I just wish I was back asleep. I'm saved but feel so far from God. If I didn't have the faith I would have already been gone outta here. I'm 57 years old, been crushed under a car and have broken my neck which led to the ozycontin and heroin abuse. You've helped me today. Thank you. L Lambert

I've listened to "The Purpose Driven Life" audiobook and actually bought the book. It's that good of information ! I encourage everyone to follow up, listen and DO God's will. It's possible and not hard if you love God and understand that difficult times are not to destroy you. Difficult times are here to build up a strong foundation of faith.

Pastor Rick, I have a severe mental illness(es). i am 35, i never really got to work or graduate college, and i cannot have a family. I come from a small family and theres no one to help me. my mother was in a car wreck in august of last year and lost her legs due to negligence after the accident. My grandmother got sick and died across 7 long grueling years starting when i was only 11. shes the only person i was ever close to. Ive tried prayer, ive tried reading the bible, ive tried avoiding common sense and better judgment. the only thing ive concluded is Christianity is humanitys attempt to tell a story and explain why life is unfair cruel and wrong to us. but there is no reason. to think that God created chosen people to enjoy everlasting life and the rest is just going to hell is not right. i do not believe the people in my life died or went through needless suffering and harm just to teach me, or anybody a lesson. God is a fiction.

Pastor Rick, you said shepherds break the leg of the sheep so that it will not wander off...However, God is so much more powerful than the shepherd... The shepherd did what he did because he had no other way, he was not all powerful. God is all powerful, God and if he choose to... he can protect his sheep without breaking their legs. So there is no need to hurt his sheep.
Hey just wondering. What is the verse said here: 1:49 It says it's prov 20:13 but that is actually "If you love sleep, you will end in poverty. Keep your eyes open, and there will be plenty to eat!" Anyone know what the actual verse is? thanks!
