I've always loved Volvo's my Mum's boyfriend owned a from new original T5, he kindly let me take it out for a drive about and was immediately impressed by its power so took it to a well known road near Scunthorpe and let it rip never realising how fast these cars are then whilst looking at the Speedo noticed the milage of 197:000 miles later he told me everything was original apart from the clutch had been changed now that's a well built reliable engine if only all cars were the same but modern Volvo's aren't the same with the Mish mash of various engines dumped in them that can never be the same as the precision Swedish engineering of days gone by its so nice to see an old school Volvo pass by with the familiar sound of reliability long may they reign ... 👍💯🔥👌
Couldn't get a good look at the guy suited up but couldn't tell if it was P.G "Peggan" himself. P.G. also drove 240's in the Southeast Asian touring car series for Volvo Thailand - a team run by one of my best friends, Del Schloemer. P.G. would fly in from Sweden for each race at Thailand's Prince Bira Circuit, near Pattaya. I spent a lot of time in Del's pit garage - my "home" at the track -and I also provided and drove my 82 BMW 323is as the track Safety Car. This was in 87-90, no B.s.
@@Belgian-Motorsport the bulges behind the rear wheels are where normally the spare Tire should be sitting in the trunk, so those weird looking bulges belong there from factory
One of the coolest cars ever. And that Viking stripes livery still looks good.
Yes finally the good old 240 Turbo 😍❤️
I just love the whole boxy look of old cars especially the 240 turbo.
A Flying Brick !

like for sound!
I want a new video of the rx 3 xxx
Replica? Did Volvo make it? Because it actually looks really good. Also, you don't hear a sound like that from a Volvo everyday....
Check the video description.
